Waltonia was great! They checked in a few times to make sure we were comfortable but left us alone for the most part. I’ll look forward to looking them up the next time we travel.
Perfect location close to the city but far enough to be secluded. Extremely peaceful property with all the amenities needed for a weekend away. Definitely recommend this property.

About the host
Hosted by Mandi Lipscomb
My great-grandfather started "Camp Waltonia" in 1921 as a primitive fishing camp. Now, 100 years later, 16 cabins and a beautiful riverfront. I am the 4th generation owner/manager of Waltonia on the River. I grew up here and love seeing folks enjoying our property
Why they chose this property
This is a classic Hill Country retreat on 10 acres with 16 individual cabins. A shared recreational area in the center of the property, with ping pong, corn hole, washers pit, playground, volleyball and a basketball hoop. 600 feet of private riverfront access and NO crossing a busy highway to get your feet in the river! In the off-season, this is a great location for your "base camp", stay here and enjoy area state parks (Guadalupe, Enchanted Rock, Lost Maples, Garner).
What makes this property unique
A great place to make memories! Enjoy the stars at night, the sunrise and sunset over the river. A full day of outdoor fun!
