Allenford is 32 km from the inn, while Hope Bay is 34 km away. The nearest airport is Lake Simcoe Regional Airport, 178 km from Somewhere In Time - RETRO SPACIOUS COTTAGE with PRIVATE SANDY BEACH.
The beautiful area offers various wonderful summer and winter activities, from skating, and snowshoeing, to hiking and swimming. Light a bonfire, gaze at the beautiful sunsets and stars, and enjoy all that Oliphant has to offer!
It is a quiet environment as it is at the end of a dead-end street however noise travels very easily there as it is in a bay. The marina is minutes down the road. 15 minutes or less into Sauble beach and 45 minutes to the grotto. This cottage will sleep 8 people in the back and is filled with beauty. 500 ft of waterfront, lots of wildlife, and also potentially poison ivy and poison sumac which means that there should be some caution if the children are playing to not go into the woods. We also have steps that go down to a sandy beach which is extremely shallow and children-friendly.
There are multiple seating areas in the back and a nice dining area in the front. There are also little bistro sets on the side. Inside the house, there’s a formal dining room and a games room with a tiki bar ping-pong. local attractions include:
Greig’s Caves - About an hour’s drive from the cottage, but well worth it with breathtaking views about 300 feet above the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay; Sauble Falls –the perfect base camp for visits to nearby Sauble Beach and to explore the Bruce Peninsula.

Other Things to Note:
**we have had recent work done to the septic bed and that a portion of the lawn has been re-seeded**.
- Pets are welcome for a fee
- The water is suggested to be boiled before consumption; however, it is safe to drink either way.
- There is no smoking of anything permitted in the house. If you smoke outside, please do not leave butts outside on the grounds.
If you enjoy an evening on the porch, please clean up afterward. Do not leave any food or garbage out overnight. We are sharing this beautiful land with the wildlife and would not want them getting sick and consuming our garbage.
We are on well and septic so it is important for people to know they cannot flush tampons and baby wipes and things like that down the toilet.
You MUST NOT host any parties or events.
You MUST NOT light any candles or burn anything inside the property (house-fires are a vibe-killer).
Check-out instructions will be sent to you regarding how to take care of garbage and how to close the cottage. You must check-out promptly at 11:00 am – failure to do so will result in a $150 surcharge for cleaning. Our crew has a limited time to clean and sanitize before the next guest. Please keep an eye on the time on checkout day!
Please enjoy your stay,
