We can't say enough about how beautiful the house and the view are. The guest book was filled to the brim with people loving their stay.The hot tub and wood burning stove were amazing and the space really had everything you needed for a relaxing, special visit to the mountains of Colorado. We highly recommend this property and hope to visit again ourselves!

This property is truly a gem. Secluded in the forest yet only 6-8 minute to Purgatory. They had everything from extra warm blankets, a beautiful comfortable porch with a stunning view of Engineer Mountain. They even had an expresso maker. The property is unique, charming and a great location. We went down to Durango, up to Silverton and Ouray and everything in-between. Our kids loved being able to play outside in the woods. We were there in the beginning of August, I can't imagine how great a place it would be for skiing in the Winter. I noticed for skiing they even had the little details like a boot dryer in the garage, snow plows etc.. as well as a wood fireplace. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property, great location

Easy to find and is in a great location for all sorts of activities in the area. Quiet area with abundant wildflowers and a pond. It was a perfect location for our small family wedding.

Beautiful Cabin

We absolutely loved this cabin! The location was close enough to Purgatory, but still secluded in the beautiful forest. The cabin itself is extremely updated and luxurious!

Anniversary Vacation

Spent our 36th Anniversary in a lovely cabin surrounded by beautiful mountains. The mountain get a way was the perfect place. I would highly recommend a visit.

Excellent get away house in the mountains

The house was absolutely amazing and is in great location to so many outdoor activities. We loved sitting on the decks enjoying the outdoors while watching the hummingbirds. So many great hikes nearby!

Cozy Mountain Cabin

Awsome property

This was one of the best homes we rented ever on vacation. Great location, beautiful and spacious home. Property owner was also great and gave us great suggestions for hikes within walking distance from home for swimming, waterfalls and great views. Only regret is we did not stay longer.

Awesome place with lots of privacy.

Very wonderful house to stay for a family or couple. The house is just off the highway and has excellent privacy as you barely can see any neighbors through the woods. House is in excellent shape with plenty of kitchen stuff. Bedding was excellent and we really loved staying here and seeing the fall colors. Highly recommend this house.

Mountain Getaway is exactly the right description! We had a special event to celebrate and this setting was perfect for our very small gathering. It suited the needs of our stay just perfectly ! Word to the wise - don’t use more than one shower at once. The hot water runs out fast!

Perfect spot for our family

We couldn’t be happier with the house. Everything about our stay was just about perfect. I think my favorite aspect was our ability to walk out our front door and hike up to potato lake. Short drive to purgatory ski resort for summer fun. Not too far to Durango or Silverton. My son summitef two mountains, and we all hiked a whole bunch. Again, great place, very comfortable, and just a great family experience for all of us!

Family Getaway

This property was perfect for our group of two families. It sits in a great location at a high elevation between Durango and Silverton. The house is tucked away amongst Aspen trees, and wildlife frequents the property. The hot tub adds a relaxing touch after a day of jeeping or hiking. The house was clean and spacious.

Winter Wonderland
