Great villa for our family vacation

We travelled with our toddler and infant and loved this villa. It was walking distance(7min) if you can manage the steep hills, or a very quick drive into town. Beautiful property, but would have appreciate some basic essentials like dishwasher detergent, salt and pepper, etc.

Great location and superb villa. Expensive, so I did not expect so many issues with water and electricity supply. Also front door closed one time, locking everyone out of the villa.In total we lost a complete day of holiday fixing water, electricity and door lock issues. Maintenance company was superb, so I resorted to dealing direct with them, as communication with host was stressful and difficult. Host did apologise in the end.

A lovely villa close to town centre

Downstairs area really lovely Garden area well maintained Lovely pool Pool chairs were good quality Position of villa to town centre very good and very handy shop only five minutes walk away which we used daily

The property is a great villa but we did have a couple of issues. When we arrived none of the electrics worked upstairs & after a period of time, one of the air conditioning units made a constant load banging noice. A call to Barbara & engineers did come quickly but after this the electrics tripped 3 more times. One of the showers was blocked and we couldn’t use the safe and although sorted when we asked, these things should be standard checked.I have also not stayed anywhere where no basics are given, not even water. For the price you pay, a bottle of water, a packet of crisps etc would have been appreciated. There was nothing at all and travelling with children a tea bag or coffee sachet would have helped!The pool was lovely, clean and perfect temp and helped having steps into the pool for older grandparents and younger children. Wide sun umbrellas provided with nice sun loungers which was lovely to see. The grounds do need to be swept and a gardener should come more. I often found myself sweeping debris away. Also there is a comment to have no BBQ in Jul or Aug, this is bizarre to me. Also on the drive you can only park 1 car when there is enough room for at least 4. We had to park 1 outside, again, no idea why!The location is good but I would say you 100% need a car. The property is up a very steep hill and not recommended for people who cannot walk far.Overall good but basic improvements needed.

Relaxing

Good size secure property on split level with everything needed for a relaxing break. Well equipped, a good sized pool with easy access from the main road. Close to village with many shops, bars and restaurants, and 15 minute walk to a lovely beach. The villa is set back far enough where it was very quiet away from the centre. The steep hills certainly works up your appetite but not too difficult. Many thanks to Patricia for her rapid response on the last day. It was much appreciated. In all, a relaxing holiday.

Summer 2023

The villa is beautiful and the pool is amazing. It is not very easy to walk anywhere (due to the hills & the heat). The house is incredibly well equipped. The kitchen is large and being able to sit outside to eat in the shade is lovely. The bedrooms are huge, each with an en suite. It is less than a 5 min drive to Carvoiero & the local Inter-Marche is good. Is it a great base for touristy activities.

Great Villa, 5 mins walk from vast selection of restaurants

We had an enjoyable time in the villa. Communication from Telma was excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean and each had an ensuite shower. Everything about the villa was great apart from the lack of shutters in the master bedroom, and inadequate curtains. The room gets the afternoon sunshine and becomes excessively hot. Overall though, we would recommend this villa for anyone looking to holiday in Carvoeiro.

Good family holiday house

A well-appointed house with all we needed. Perfect for a family with youngish children. The pool was great for the 7-year old, starting at 1m and going down to about 1.6m. The location is excellent as it is an easy walk into the town and onto the beach, and rubbish bins just at the top of the road. The little store down the road has fresh rolls and croissants, and a bit further down is a bigger supermarket (which we didn't use, but went for big shops to the Intermarche 5 mins drive away, or for full French supermarket provision to the Auchan in Portimao). Great icecream places in Corvoiero. Wanted to eat earlier than most restaurants opened, but GumTree and Villa Medici are open all afternoon and the food was good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The grounds were very private and spacious, and the property was also very conveniently located (walking distance to town - restaurants and beach).

Das Haus ist vom Grundriss und der Aussenanlage her sehr schön. Die Lage passt, man muss allerdings etwas "klettern" wenn aus dem Ort zurück möchte. Restaurants sind max 10 min zu Fuss entfernt.Ein Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett, die beiden anderen Einzelbetten die recht hart sind. Man sollte beachten, das das Grillen ab 1.7. nicht mehr erlaubt ist. Wobei man sich wundert, das der Holzkohle Grillplatz direkt unter einem Baum steht...Man sollte auch beachten, das Handtücher und Badehandtücher nicht sehr reichhaltig vorhanden sind und somit öfter gewaschen werden müssen. Eine Grundausstattung in der Küche mit Salz, Pfeffer, Spülmittel/Waschmittel etc. war nicht vorhanden und musste nach Ankunft gekauft werden. Unschön war, das bei einem Schlafzimmer das Duschwasser am Abend kalt war. Dieser Mangel wurde nach 4 Tagen behoben. Im gleichen Zimmer funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht, der versprochene Techniker kam nicht. Eine Fehlbedienung konnte ausgeschlossen werde, der Hausverwalter hatte sich auch daran versucht... Wir hatten nur Glück, das es während unseres Aufenthalt nicht zu heiss war. Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer war i.O., allerdings hat er sich auf unsere abschliessende Mängelliste nicht mehr gemeldet.Insgesamt bleibt somit ein gemischtes Reiseerlebnis.

Great stay at Villa Strelitzia

We enjoyed Villa Strelitzia very much. The property is modern and very well equipped with a US-style fridge, washing machine, dryer and kitchen equipment. We enjoyed the salt water pool very much. Highly recommended.

In die Jahre gekommen...

Die Lage des Hauses war sehr gut. Leider konnten wir nicht um 16:00 Uhr einchecken, da das Haus noch mehrere Stunden gereinigt werden musste. Das Einfahrtstor funktionierte nicht, die Rollos waren im Wohnzimmer zum Teil defekt. Leider gab es auch nur einen Schlüssel, was die Situation mit dem kaputten Eingangstor erschwerte. Angeblich sollte ein Techniker kommen um die Schäden zu reparieren - passierte jedoch trotz Nachfrage nicht. Preis Leistung hat für uns leider nicht gepasst, da das Haus und der Pool schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist (fehlende Fliesen, Poollicht defekt usw.) und notwendigen Reparaturen nicht zeitnah durchgeführt wurden.

We had a great stay at the villa, it is well located and the house is great for a family stay.

We enjoyed being at the villa. We missed a coffee machine (nespresso). Wifi was not functioning properly. Terrace and pool are great.

Great Villa in Carvoeiro

A great 10 day trip to the Algarve, with this wonderful 3 bed villa as our base. Everything was clean and well appointed. Good size pool (heated which was nice) and alll rooms fully air conditioned.
