A great place on Hoopers Island

A wonderful long weekend getaway on Hoopers Island--close to the bay and to the attractions of the island. Laura is a great host who ensured we had everything we needed for our stay--a roomy house with a great screened in gazebo and plenty of activities for our elementary school aged kids. Highly recommend it!

An amazing family getaway. Laura was beyond wonderful and gracious. Laura took my family fishing and they cannot wait to do it again. People are friendly and wave as you pass them by. Food was great. Thank you to the owners of Old Salty’s who were kind to us. The view the food the drinks…top notch. The house had everything we needed. Would go again!!!

Fantastic Mini-Getaway

Husband and I took a short trip during the pandemic to recharge. The house was clean and comfortable. The owners were attentive, responsive, and friendly. quiet get away

The location was very laid back and relaxing. The hosts were also very helpful and worked to make sure we had a great experience and have a huge crab feast in the back yard. We also loved the outside shower and the osprey chick nesting in the front yard. The house was rather small, so if you have a big party be prepared to enjoy time outdoors. Easy walk to Salty's restaurant.

Delightful family vacation

We had a lovely time at Bayview. The house was well stocked and worked well for my husband and I and our 8 children. The children loved the pool, games and toys there. John and Laura were wonderful hosts, making sure we had a nice time. The bushel of frwsh steamed crabs they delivered one evening was a special treat. Thanks for the wonderful place and experience, we hope to return someday_

SUNSET OVER THE BAY AT ITS BEST!

This was one of the best vacations we've ever had. The place is amazing and Laura had thought of everything, plus some. We never expected so much and it was just great. This was our first VRBO experience and we already have another lined up in a nearby State, but the Bayview Home has set the standard for us and it will be hard to top it. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Fantastic bay view Getaway

Fresh oysters, lump crabmeat, fire pit, sunsets, sea glass hunting, fishing, and a comfy, cozy super clean home to relax in. Laura and John are hosts extraordinaire! John had the fire pit set up and brought us fresh oysters. Laura dropped off crabmeat and a lighter. We found the house very warm and inviting. Our two dogs loved the big yard to explore and play fetch. We want to return when it’s warmer. Great place!!

Destination Wedding on Hooper's Island

Everything was very clean, well-stocked and comfortable. We would have liked more double beds for couples, but space was limited so that's probably not possible. The half bath was in the same room as one twin bed, so in order to give privacy to guests using that bathroom, no one slept in that bed. Over all, our experience was very pleasant and we would rent there again if the occasion arose. Landlady was especially helpful and accommodating!
Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2023
Response from VrboOwner on 10 October 2023
Thank you for nice comments! Yeah space for all double beds not an option. But I do see you used the 2, double/full pull out sleet sofas… The half bath/ bedroom is ideal for an elderly guest! Most time during day no one is sleeping in there so can be used if other is occupied. Also have a beautiful thick curtain to separate .. looks like a wall when fully closed… You guys were great guests!!

Sweet family getaway

My family (4 adults, 1 teen and 2 children) loved our stay! The house was clean and cozy. I actually loved it a lot more in person than when I saw the pictures! Inside the bedrooms were comfortable, the living room was stocked with toys, games and cute like puzzles. Outside was great! The large picnic table, tree swing and front porch made for amazing memories. Finally, the levers owners were amazing!!! Communication was fantastic and the fishing trip offered was the best I’ve ever been on. We were catching fish 2 at a time. Highly recommend a low key stay in this sweet home.

Wonderful Stay on the Bay

We can’t say enough great things about our stay. Laura was a wonderful host and has thought of every possible detail. The property was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you could need. All the seating and beds were comfortable. AC worked great, TV has plenty of channels and streaming. All the bathrooms were very clean and operational. The screen porch was a wonderful location for meals! The location is very close to many water activities but the best part for us was the peace and quiet. Most of the time all we could hear was the breeze. Laura even arranged to deliver us some crabs!! We’ll look forward to staying again!
