Predictable stay, great bathtub
The property is fine. We have stayed at other units at Zermatt before, so it was very familiar. Having the two connected units for the extra beds was very helpful for us.
What is the same: access to off-road trails, swimming pool, and nearby restaurants. We were able to park out truck and side by side trailer just outside the parking lot, which was very useful for us. It’s harder to find a place with a longer bathtub for an adult, but this place has one!
What has changed: nearby restaurants have changed their names/ownership. Wildfire next to the front lobby is under new ownership, different much more limited menu. The prominent Mexican restaurant in town was also under a new name since we last came.
Surprised by: the key card gets you access to the swimming pool and nothing else. I assumed that this property would have access to the other amenities as included items, but the tennis courts and mini golf were an additional charge ($2 and $5 per person, respectively). A downstairs tenant came up at 9:30 pm asking us to stop stomping on the floor because they had a race in the morning. We were playing cards, so it took me a minute to understand how our card came was causing noise for others (we were slapping cards on the table, and that was shaking the ceiling for the people downstairs). We are used to having our own space, so having to be more quiet than our usually quiet family was an adjustment for that time.
We didn’t use the kitchen much besides the fridge this trip, but we used every bed, including the couch bed.
