Escape the New York heat in the Hamptons. Our home is in a prime location with just a short walk to the Shinnecock canal for fishing, a 5 min walk to the newly renovated Canoe Place where you can enjoy their new restaurant, bar and spa, and a 20 min walk to the secluded Peconic Bay beaches, more restaurants and night life. Relax at home playing a game of pool, BBQing on the deck, or lounging and playing games on the large front and back yard. If you trailer your boat, launching ramps are nearby. Our home is perfect for family vacations (and we're pet-friendly, too!) and includes wifi and air-conditioning in every room. Off street parking is available in a quiet neighborhood.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

*All trash needs to be put in the green garbage bags provided & brought to the Transfer facility at 30 Jackson Ave. Hampton Bays* Gather all towels and linens and leave in washing machine area.

Close the patio umbrella nightly & before departure.Shut off the gas tank to the grill. Return the beach chairs & beach umbrella to the box under the deck.If traveling with dogs, pick up all dog poop.

Close & lock all windows and doors.Return keys to below the cabinets and the key to the lock box.Have all appliances turned off (except the refrigerator and wifi). Turn off all fans and set A/Cs to 75

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Guests not on the lease agreement are not permitted to remain overnight. No rental to anyone under the age of 25. $150 pet fee. 3 night minimum

As past owners of The Black Whale Motel in Hampton Bays for 16 successful years, we are well aware of what vacationers are expecting from their rental. We have tried to include everything needed to enjoy your stay so the moment you arrive you can just unpack and begin your vacation. We raised our children fishing off the docks, hosting fresh catch BBQs on our deck, and swimming at the quiet beaches nearby. With Hampton Bays continuing to get better with the newly restored Canoe Place just down the block (now with a new bar and spa!) and delicious restaurants nearby, we look forward to sharing the quiet and magical Hampton Bays with you!

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Hampton Bays since the 1970's and always enjoyed the beaches, fishing and nightlife. We are surrounded by quaint towns for shopping and dining, museums and galleries on the South Fork. It's just a 35 mile drive to the famous Montauk Point lighthouse, which is one of the best fishing towns and great for a day trip. A 10 mile drive brings you to the North Fork where you can find some of New York's finest wineries, farm stands, the Splish Splash waterpark, Atlantis aquarium, and Tanger Outlet Mall. The Orient Point ferry is a 45 minute drive and brings you to the two Connecticut casinos.
