If I could give 20 stars I would. This property is set in the woods on the flow age in a stunning area. Absolutely gorgeous! The lovely patio and landscaping offer a great spot to soak it all up. The home is spotless and the most functional property I have ever stayed in. They have everything you need. The communication with the host was perfect. If peace is what you seek, this is your place. I need to go back already! Thank you for sharing this gem!!!
This cabin felt vey homey and was perfect for 4 friends to get away for a few days. Kitchen stocked well and had everything we needed. Views out window were beautiful. Corie responded immediately to call we placed for little help to get there. Directions were perfect. Thank you
This place is amazing , pictures and description don’t even do it justice it’s really a slice of heaven . I struggled leaving . Whenever we come back to the north woods we will stay here for sure . Hands down my favorite VRBO to date we’ve stayed at and we have stayed at ALOT in many, many states . If your looking for peace and quite , no people this is your place . We did bring our sxs to enjoy all the trails in area which are very easily accessed from this property without trailering anywhere . So many good places to eat to all within 30min . Highlight of the trip for me we used the kayaks they provided and went out just to the north of VRBO and got to watch 3 river otters playing just like 10ft in front of us . Also had 2 trumpeter swans visit daily right in front of cabin . Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful property with us . Also thank you for allowing our pups they had so much fun and loved being able to run free with no worries being so secluded of a property it was perfect for them . We will be back for sure .
Located at the end of a road in a quaint town about 20 miles outside the town of Hayward. This stay was one of many my Husband and I have taken using VRBO. We both agreed that this one was by far our favorite. It is nice and private located on the river. The house was extremely comfortable. We felt right at home the minute we walked in. It is so charming and has a beautiful yard where we saw 3 deer munching away on the grass one evening. There are three popular restaurants just a few miles from the house that were easy to get to. Two are closed on Tues. There are a multitude of many restaurants in nearby towns and also many more in the town of Hayward located about 25 minutes drive from the rental house. It truly is a nature lovers paradise. What is there NOT to love about the Northwoods? If you like to gamble there is Seven Winds Casino about 15 miles from this rental. So much to see and do if you don't want to just relax and unwind. It was nice to have everything you needed to cook meals as well. Fully stocked kitchen. Beds and pillows were so comfy. No bugs except for the ones that lived outside. And we never even had to use our bug spray once. If I say anymore positives about this beautiful house on the river, we may not even get our week next year. We loved this rental!
We are giving this house a low rating because of ants, mosquitoes, and mice inside the house. We discovered an ant infestation and called the owner, initially we said we'd try to deal with it ourselves, then the next day (Sunday) it was worse so we called the owner and asked for help, she said she would contact Orkin, but we never heard back.
Also reported to the owner on Sunday that the inside of the house was full of mosquitoes. Windows / doors were kept shut, so mosquitoes were coming in from some other access point. At night, we slept with bed sheets over our heads to avoid being bitten. As of Tues night we had not heard back from the owner regarding a solution for the ants or the mosquitoes.
Wed. AM we encountered a live mouse in the master bathroom. This was more than my wife and daughter could take, and we decided to leave the house. We called the owner, told her about the mice, and advised her that we would be leaving immediately.
In regards to mice in the house, the owner said, 'you have to expect that.' She said because the house is in the country this is not uncommon and inferred that we should accept mice in the house as a normal condition. We disagree and believe that the owner has a responsibility to provide a clean and safe home free of pests and rodents, especially mice. We would not have rented this house if we had known about the mice.
We requested a partial refund from the owner; the owner offered $500, which we accepted.
