The house was perfect in every way! I loved the cabin feel mixed with modern touches. The house is set up with a focus on family; conversation areas, board games, opportunity for loft sleeping, countless family friendly movies and so much more. I loved the kitchen! The property owner was very responsive and helpful. We are already planning next years trip!
This was the perfect PA experience for our family visiting from Florida. Walking distance to lake and close to Elk Mt. Would like to visit again in the summer.
What a great place and a better owner…
It was like camping in a high end Cabin. Plenty of room and everything you would need was there . Very clean.
It was -4 degrees outside and toasty inside.
Janet was a dream to work with and was very accommodating.
We shall return for more ice fishing and Shenanigans !
Thank you again.
Our family of six was on a ski trip to Elk Mountain Ski and we stayed at this very nice little cabin! We had a lovely stay and hosts were very kind. It is set on the edge of a very small summer home community by a lake. Our kids spent a lot of time in the loft! They loved the huge selection of VHS movies, games and many extra blankets. And there are two nice bathrooms. Thank you!
This cozy and inviting cabin was a perfect place to unplug and relax for a weekend. My family and I enjoyed peaceful mornings having coffee on the porch, nature walks, and time at the lake.
I do think that if the weather had been hotter, we would have been somewhat uncomfortable without extra fans in the cabin. I would suggest future renters bring a fan or two if visiting in the middle of Summer.
I would absolutely stay here again.
Pros:
We were looking for a property to stay-cay at the Pocono mountains and instead we found a hidden gem near the Elk mountain. The cabin said lake front and that was the only inaccuracy in the description. Otherwise, we loved this cabin. It gave us an opportunity to find two beautiful and extremely private falls where we had fun swimming and bathing. The property has two kayaks that we could use in Spruce lake. It does not have wi-fi or ceiling fans, but the weather was perfect and we didnt need wi-fi. The owner was so kind to let us check in earlier than usual and was very responsive to our questions.
Cons:
There is no proper street address(we only got an intersection address) to get here and it was quite an adventure figuring out to arrive at the cabin after dark. There wasn't a grocery store in a 15 mile radius, we had to travel to NY state for the nearest Tops Super market. The network connectivity with any cell phone provider is pretty bleak in these parts so pls have back ups when you plan a trip here. We lost our way many a times and had a hard time getting back.
Great cabin for a family weekend getaway.
Very clean, nice layout. We enjoyed our stay. Will be back!!

Nice
The cabin is very nice and clearly there has been work done on it to make it a nice experience. We loved the kayaks- and had a really lovely afternoon on the lake (with some very nice neighbors who were building a new dock). We also had fun watching old movies, there is quite an impressive collection.
My biggest negative is the cost vs what you get. We have stayed at many Vrbo’s. For this price, we typically would get AC, a washer/ dryer, and certainly not have to cart our own garbage out. We are not fancy people and normally wouldn’t mind handling trash. But this last point is important as we were staying here as out-of-Townes- we had NO IDEA where to take trash. For $793 total price (2 nights) we shouldn’t have to drive around with trash trying to figure out what to do with it. (Also note the LARGE number of add on fees, that are added on.)
One of our favorite stays around Elk Mountain. Cozy, extremely clean and comfortable. Easy communication with the owners. Janet and Paul were wonderful in helping us navigate through some minor glitches. We were so grateful to have such a wonderful place to relax in after spending whole days on the slopes.
We are hoping to come back really soon.
Very nice place to stay for my wife and four young adult children. Extremely peaceful setting. The snow was beautiful. The cabin was very nice and clean. Great to have 2 full bathrooms. The two bedrooms were very comfortable. The twin beds in the loft area are more suitable for children than adults, but they did the trick for our short stay. We had a wonderful time and it was a short ride to Elk Mountain for a day of skiing. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for others as well. Thank you!
I usually do not bother writing reviews but this cabin left a great impression. My four girlfriends and I rented this cabin for a girls weekend getaway and it was a perfect setting. The cabin was very clean and orderly. It was well stocked with everything we needed. We each were assigned to cook a meal and Janet had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Surprisingly, the cabin was very modern but still maintained that traditional rustic ambiance. The porch faces the lake so it was nice to drink our coffee and watch the sun come up. The lake was about a 5 minute walk from the cabin. Perfect! It provided the sense of calmness that we all needed. There were kayaks, life jackets and fishing poles available in the basement...again very neat and organized.
The only negatives were that we had to kill a number of flies lingering around the bathroom windows. Also, the locks to the doors seemed flimsey. But that could just be the overly paranoid city girl in me.
Otherwise...it was definitely great for the price. I would highly recommend and would definitely book again. Janet was a very comforting hostess.
The log cabin was absolutely charming! It was comfortable and so quite - a perfect place to relax. We enjoyed kayaking too! We went at a perfect time to see the leaves changing and the stars at night were breathtaking! Highly recommend!
Casual home located a 2 minute walk from the lake.
This home is super clean, and very functional

Summer Stay
Originally I would have given this cabin a 4. It's cute and clean. Probably better for those who want to go skiing than enjoy the lake- as it is farthest from lake and hard to haul kayaks down and no dock. Some gentle suggestions to make it better for summer stay. 1) Fans- it was hot at night 2) A grill. 3) A book with suggested hikes and how to get to trail heads BUT, I am giving it a 2 because we had to haul our own trash in our car even though we paid a cleaning charge. Who wants to put their trash in their car! Please add trash service for future guests.
We had a great time staying at the house. Three adults and three kids had plenty of space, the house is very clean and warm with loads of utensils for cooking. Everything you need for a great ski trip at Elk.

Wonderful and relaxing stay!
This is truly a beautiful log cabin in a serene setting! The cabin was incredibly clean and well stocked. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus 4 beds in the loft. Everything that you need in the kitchen, plus tons of old movies and board games. We planned on a ski trip (but no snow!) so we hiked, went horseback riding and used the fire pit. The lake (down at the bottom of the road) was beautiful as well. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend Stay
My friend and I stayed for a long weekend. The cabin is beautiful. It works well for couples, small groups or a family. Everything we needed was already there. Full kitchen, linens, etc. Even small bottles of lotion in the bathrooms. (of course I brought my own). It is very dark in the area and especially since it is off season I could have used some curtains at the down stairs doors and windows, but we made do.
Loved the off season quiet. Quite relaxing. There was a DVD player. We weren't aware it would be there but we watched some very good old movies on the VCR.

Beautiful Cabin!!
Enjoyed our stay! The description and pictures do not do this fantastic cabin justice. Peaceful and friendly area, lake is just a short walk, neighbors were beyond friendly and loved the view from a fantastic porch. Would definitely like to visit again. Owners were very helpful.
