Sweet tea on the front porch swing, with only the sound of birds and trees rustling in the wind, a family cookout on the gas grill while the kids and family dog play in the back yard - if this sounds good, you’ve found the right vacation home, tucked into the hills outside Banner Elk. When it’s time to venture out, you’re near wineries, wedding and event venues, downtown Banner Elk, ski mountains, hiking, and more.

Inside, the cathedral ceilings, gas fireplace, open layout, and comfortable furnishings create a homey yet spacious feeling. The chef will love the modern, full kitchen, with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and all the necessary gadgets, and little helpers can perch at the corner breakfast bar to taste test. Sit down for a meal together at the window-front dining table before heading out to explore. Use the free WiFi to catch up on any remote work in the private office, or sneak in a workout on the elliptical machine. Spend the evening together watching some TV in the main living room or bonus room downstairs, or grab a board game for some lo-fi fun. Bedtime offers lots of options, with primary suites both upstairs and down, each with an updated, en suite bath, as well as a guest room and extra sleeping space on the first floor. Drift off with the windows open, letting the rustling in the trees lull you to sleep.

THINGS TO KNOW
Three queen sofa beds and a queen bed on the first floor offer extra sleeping space.

Wow! What an amazing home!
Everything you need for amazing vacation is in this home. The gourmet kitchen had all the extras for our cooking needs. The private deck was a big plus deer in the yard in the morning and evening for our enjoyment. Super clean and the hardwood floor was awesome.

Christmas Vacation
The home is as pictured, very nice. Complete with everything, kitchen, baths, laundry. When we arrived, everything was great. That night extreme cold weather set in and the heat in the downstairs quit working. The cold and hot water lines in the kitchen must have froze up which affected the dish washer, refrigerator and washing machine. We reached out to Vacasa and they responded quickly saying a local agent would reach out. Two days later someone called but offered no help. After a few days when the temp warmed up the hot and cold water returned in the kitchen and laundry. Bottom line my biggest complaint was the lack of local response. What if one of those water lines would have broke after freezing? We had to move our guest from the sleeping areas downstairs to the upstairs due to the cold temperatures.

Colorful Leaves in Banner Elk
This property is beautiful inside and has a great view of the mountains and plenty of sunlight. We liked that it is pet friendly. Our two doges enjoyed playing in the front yard and just taking in the views themselves!
