About this property

Aloberge 8

Aloberge 8 is the last unit located at the end of the canal at the Rose des Vents Marina in Lacolle, sheltered from the wind and with a view of the Richelieu River at the canal entrance. It is the furthest from the washroom facilities and the closest to the fields of the MIhouli farm (note that you may hear the sound of a pump when the fields need irrigation). It is a "ready-to-camp with electricity (30 amps) " unit. Running water is available on the docks (unheated) and at the washroom facilities a few minutes' walk away (heated water). Dogs are welcome.

The floating platform measures 12 x 26 feet and is permanently attached to the dock.

The cabin (10 feet x 12 feet) includes:

Sleeping arrangements: Two single benches with slatted bases and pillows ( BEDDING NOT INCLUDED ). One of them can be extended into a double bed (sleeps 3, ideal for 2 ).

Kitchen equipment: Compact fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker (with reusable K-cup) and blender.

Mini electric grill ( FREE OF CHARGE IF EMPTY AND CLEANED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE ).

Basic tableware for 3 people (including cast iron skillet/wok for barbecues in the picnic area). FREE OF CHARGE IF CLEANED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE .

Air conditioning: Small air conditioner mounted high up (limited performance during the day in heat waves). This accommodation is not recommended for people sensitive to intense heat.

Heating: small portable electric heater that can also be used as a fan.

Hair dryer and small first aid kit (in one of the bench seat drawers)

Documentation about the region (including a book) and a small game (cards or other)

Cleaning products (including everything needed for washing dishes and cleaning the grill)

Other amenities: Side table (long folding bench), storage spaces (drawers in the sofa beds and small shelves), blackout blinds or curtains on all windows (windows on all four sides with UV-resistant polymer film), dog bowl

The floating platform includes the following on the outside:

Large terrace covered at the front (12 feet x 10 feet) with 2 "zero gravity" lounge chairs, a table with extension & 2 chairs and an electric mosquito repellent device.

A bench-storage unit at the rear, containing 2 adult life jackets ( MANDATORY IN BOATS ) and various leisure items (bowling/pocket games, ball, pool items).

The other facilities on the site are located on the banks of the Richelieu River (a few minutes' walk away), are included in the price (*see conditions), and include:

Picnic area with tables

Propane gas barbecues under a gazebo ( in case of rain). * Free use if cleaned after use .

Saltwater swimming pool (unheated).

Access is free of charge provided that the equipment is returned in the same condition, cleanliness, location, and position, and that the locks are re-secured. Specifically, tandem kayaks must have their drain plugs removed to empty any water if it has rained, pedals lifted in seaweed to prevent damage (and again upon return), propellers must be cleared of seaweed if necessary, and standard canoes and kayaks must be returned upside down to prevent water accumulation after rain .
