Our stay at this property was wonderful. The guest house was very clean, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The location was perfect and so convenient!Janet and Scott were great! Communication was seamless, check-in was easy, and the place was so cozy. You can tell they truly cares about their guests' experience.We would love to stay here again on our next trip and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Amazing Vacation

Loved our accommodations - the beach was a block away and we were provided with all the necessary equipment. The unit had everything that we needed and was very clean. We really enjoyed the bikes and riding on the boardwalk! Great hosts and the convenience of everything nearby.

Perfect location for beach, walking and San Diego fun!

My friend and I stayed in this bungalow, right behind the owner's house for 3 days at the end of May. The occasion was my birthday and we had a great time. Excellent for walking along the beach (Mission Bay), with a nice patio, tiki bar and a hot tub (40 additional pay for using the hot tub, so we never did, because we barely stayed in the house). The bed was comfortable and there was a sleep-in sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom was OK and the kitchen was fully stocked. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We unfortunately did not have a good experience with this property and ended up leaving immediately and absorbing the cost to move to a hotel as well as the cost we were out on the VRBO.The biggest issue was that the home was significantly smaller and far more dated than the listing photos suggest, which felt very misleading. The location was also not ideal — the home backs to an alley with constant traffic noise, and it was not as close to other amenities as we expected.Inside, there were several comfort and maintenance concerns:The shower was extremely small (camper-sized) and visibly rustedThe sofa had noticeable stainsThe air conditioning did not cool properly despite being set to 72The bedroom ceiling fan was difficult to operateThe outdoor area and hot tub felt very aged and poor qualityThat said, I do want to acknowledge that the owners were kind, responsive, and pleasant to communicate with, which made this situation disappointing and very costly, rather than more contentious than it could have been. Ultimately, however, the condition, location, and overall feel of the home were very far off from how it was represented, and this resulted in a stressful and costly change to our plans.I hope this feedback helps future guests make an informed decision and helps the owners consider updating the listing to better match the reality of the property.

Very close to the beach; hosts were responsive to all of our questions and while we shared a common outdoor space they were very respectful of privacy; the only constructive feedback I have is that the pullout couch/bed may need a mattress topper to accompany it

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Incredibly convenient to both sides, bay and ocean. It was very functional and it was great to have the open outdoor space with hot tub. The only complaints we could have were the curtain instead of a bathroom door, and we wished that the ceiling fan in the bedroom was operational. No question it was a really good value.
