This house was perfect for our weekend getaway! We enjoyed the dock, pedal boat, fire pit and hot tub! Great spaces indoor to relax with great lake views. The house had everything we needed to enjoy the lake and meals together!

Wonderful lakefront property in a safe, gated community. Home was well maintained and appointed. Owners were extremely easy to communicate with and I would most certainly stay again when the opportunity presents itself.

We had a large group staying here to attend a nearby wedding and the property was very comfortable and clean and the view of the lake was amazing. There was plenty of parking in the driveway. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed and the water pressure/temperature was great. The combination of beds suited our needs perfectly. Ellen is a great, responsive host. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion is to add mirrors in the bedrooms. When you have a lot of people sharing bathrooms you may need more flexibility in where you get ready.

This property lived up to all expectations and more. Lovely, comfortable, one of the most well-stocked rentals that we have ever stayed at. The hosts were responsive and friendly. It was a big weekend for our family, a graduation celebration. Locust Grove delivered and we highly recommend this property and its owners.

We had a family of nine ranging from early 70s to the age of 10. It was a great house for us and a perfect location for our mini vacation of historic Fredericksburg and the surrounding Civil War battlefields. We particularly enjoyed the open plan of the kitchen and gathering area on the upper level while the children often "escaped" to the lower level of games and some TV watching. Being on the water was lovely and we enjoyed watching wildlife from the deck. The area was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Perfect DMV Getaway!

We had an incredible time staying at this vrbo! There was plenty to do despite unlucky weather. Highlights included the hot tub, inflatables, and a huge variety of games!

Beautiful property. True to description. Plenty of linens, utensils, plates, pantry items, games, puzzles, lake "toys", and available via text or messenger. We have been taking this family girls' trip for 9 years and this was by far the best rental!
