Get away from it all at this beautiful, waterfront retreat in the safe, gated community of Lake of the Woods, Virginia! Just a little over an hour from D.C. or Richmond, and a great alternative to Lake Anna.

Come enjoy our gorgeous, newly renovated home that sleeps 16. Enjoy the waterfront views and wildlife, soak in the hot tub as you enjoy the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets, or jump right into the refreshing lake! This home comes with 6 private sleeping areas, 3 full bathrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, private dock, grill and hot water on demand. New windows, a new 2nd story deck, a propane grill and fishing poles to borrow are just a couple of the amenities you'll get with this home when you rent it for a few nights, or for the whole week. Other perks include:
-free wifi
-access to the fabulous 18-hole Lake of the Woods PGA golf course (~$50/person/round [with cart])
-amazing 3-season room with separate A/C unit
-98 feet of waterfront
-(4) stand-up paddleboards and a peddle -boat to borrow - perfect for cruising around the quiet cove
-New hardscaped path from the house to the lake
- Spacious outdoor cedar shower (available May-Oct)
- Access to pool floats for relaxing (or not) swims around the cove
-2nd refrigerator/freezer for additional groceries/drinks
-Access to the Lake of the Woods clubhouse and golf course cafe, if you'd rather order in food or go out for a bite

-Board games, puzzles, playing cards, books for all ages

-Pack and Play, and small high chair for the youngest guests

We had a family of nine ranging from early 70s to the age of 10. It was a great house for us and a perfect location for our mini vacation of historic Fredericksburg and the surrounding Civil War battlefields. We particularly enjoyed the open plan of the kitchen and gathering area on the upper level while the children often "escaped" to the lower level of games and some TV watching. Being on the water was lovely and we enjoyed watching wildlife from the deck. The area was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful, clean home in a quiet spot of a safe neighborhood. Loved that it was right on the lake and had a variety of things for our friends to do - hot tub, paddle board, hammock, games/puzzles inside. We live in the D.C. area and wanted to find a lakefront home that was a short distance away, so we could take advantage of the lake, year round, even if only for just a weekend. We hope that you'll love the Lake of the Woods community as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Private, gated community means you'll have an extra layer of security when staying here. The home is on 98 feet of waterfront, so you can enjoy the lake and still have all of the amenities of the house right at your fingertips. We installed a hot tub, hot water on demand, new windows, new deck, new landscaping and hardscaping - we hope you'll love all of the improvements!
