We had a fantastic time! The lodge was very comfortable and accommodating. We both slept well on the comfortable bed. Nice hot shower. Kitchen had all of the necessary items. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. The colors were still very vibrant in the area. We would love to come back again.
Absolutely gorgeous little get away! We were able to prep a good meal for our ball players nightly and always had the best hospitality when it came to checking to make sure the AC was working and even asked how the ball team was doing! Highly recommend a stay here, and will look into it again!
We’ve stayed here 3 yrs in a row and look forward to staying again! Clean with a great layout! The whole group can be together anytime they want. Kitchen living room and entertainment area are in a giant open, very aesthetic space!! Love it!!
We had a wonderful time! We came up for a family getaway. The home and property are beautiful and so peaceful! Wayne and Teri were very kind and great hosts! The kids played in the yard and loved the loft, the pup had plenty to explore and s'more's to end the night! We all wish we could have stayed longer!
Great place, very quiet enjoyable stay, very good host that has thought of everything. This place is a must for anyone traveling near Traverse City.

The Hodge Lodge was uniquely decorated, clean and had everything that you would need.
Wayne & Teri are great host. They are quick to answer questions. They had smores ready for the fire when we got there.
It was a great stay.
Our pup Matty loved it as well!!
Great design and host was amazing. Lots of great things nearby but secluded enough to enjoy peacefulness. My guests and I all agreed on it being a great place to stay for our kayak, bike and brew tour. We ventured to Traverse City but friends may return for the close proximity to snowmobile trails. I’d go back in heartbeat.
We used Hodge Lodge as a base for our sightseeing trip. Went to Sleeping Bare Dunes (a must see) Also traveled to Traverse City to several Wineries. We also went to a few different beaches on the shores of Lake Michigan, breathtaking views. We also hikes some nearby trails. 5 Stars.
Our hosts thought of everything. Fire ready to start, marshmallows ready to roast and a porch swing over looking pines. Beds were comfy, sheets and towels feel brand new. The only thing we wished for was better weather! Hope to be back soon.
I’m hesitant to say how great it was, because I want to come back time and time again!! We are in love with this place. It’s managed perfectly and it’s clean and well stocked with everything you need for a great stay!! Thank you, Wayne and Teri!! We will definitely be back.❤️
This is a fabulous property. It is exactly like the pictures, no surprises. It is warm, cozy, and a great place to go to get out of the city.
If you are looking to relax, this is the place. When you are ready to get out, Traverse City is just a quick 30 minute drive.
We had a great time here and will definitely be returning soon.
I can not say enough about how wonderful Teri and Wayne were. The property was spotless definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed. Beds are so comfy I could have slept all day. This place has everything you need and then some. Loved the kcups & hot cocoa. They even had smores for us to make . We will definitely be back!!!
The Hodge Lodge was the perfect place to lay our heads after long days and nights exploring northern Michigan to photograph the landscape and night skies. We met Wayne and Teri upon arriving, and they were always quick to respond to questions or needs. They thought of everything we could want or need for our stay including homemade cherry salsa from their garden and s‘mores kits for the fire. The decor in Hodge Lodge was meticulously curated and fun to look at. We enjoyed editing photos by the indoor fire. The beds were very comfortable. We will be back!
We absolutely loved this rental property. There were many personalized touches that made this property so appealing. Besides the cleanliness of the property, they had complimentary kits for smores, k-cups for our keurig coffee each morning, tea, creamers, etc. The beds were comfy, and the fire pit area was perfect. They supplied the wood, so we didn't need to go out searching to purchase some. The string lights above the fire pit area gave it an added sense of warmth. We would recommend this property to all.
This was a beautifully decorated home. Cozy and comfortable with all the relaxing additions. Bed were great! Great for large groups with additional entertainment available outside. Fire pit, horse shoe , and beautiful trails to wonder. This location was quiet, and just a 15-20 minutes from TC for further entertainment. We will come again.
This place is a gem. The owner put so much care into the lodge, it’s perfect for a relaxing getaway, don’t skip the campfire. Close to Traverse City too.
