Important Note Before Booking – Please Read
We’re excited to host you at the Beachfront Point Prim Cottage! To ensure your stay aligns with your expectations, we like to share a few important details ahead of time.
This is a peaceful, rural beachfront cottage surrounded by nature—ideal for guests looking to unwind in a tranquil, off-the-beaten-path setting. That said, a few things come with the territory:
Remote Location
The cottage is located at the end of Point Prim, about 30+ minutes from the nearest restaurants, shops, and amenities. During shoulder seasons (spring and fall), local businesses may have limited hours or be closed, so we recommend planning to cook and stock up on groceries in advance.
Well and Septic System
The cottage runs on a private well and septic system. After periods of heavy rain, the water may appear slightly cloudy due to natural sediment—this is normal and safe, as it’s regularly tested. We ask guests to be mindful of water use and follow posted septic guidelines. During heavy rain, we recommend avoiding running the dishwasher and washing machine on the same day. Occasional gurgling sounds from the toilet are not unusual and typically nothing to worry about.
Nature & Wildlife
While the home is well maintained, its natural setting means you may encounter insects or local wildlife, particularly during spring or warmer months. Most guests find this part of the charm, but we want to set clear expectations.
Rustic, Not Hotel-Like
This is not a hotel-style stay—it’s a cozy, comfortable cottage with stunning views, privacy, and a slower pace. If you’re looking for urban conveniences or luxury finishes, this might not be the right fit.
If anything comes up during your stay, my co-host Grace is nearby and happy to help. She’s responsive, knowledgeable, and knows the cottage well.
We love sharing this special place and want each guest to have a wonderful experience. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out before booking—we’re happy to help or make adjustments if needed.

About the host
Hosted by Stephanie Brady

We’re retired professionals who fell in love with the natural beauty and relaxed pace of Prince Edward Island. Sharing our beachfront cottage allows us to welcome others to experience the charm, tranquility, and warmth that make PEI so special to us.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood for its peaceful, scenic beauty. The waterfront cottage sits at the tip of the Point Prim peninsula, within walking distance of the island’s oldest lighthouse and the beloved Point Prim Chowder House. We especially love biking along the quiet roads and soaking in the stunning coastal views.
What makes this property unique
What makes this property unique is its direct access to the warmest ocean water in Canada—the Northumberland Strait. Guests can swim, kayak, or paddleboard right from the shore while enjoying a peaceful, private beachfront setting surrounded by natural beauty.
