Quiet One-Bedroom Cottage with Deck in Walkable Neighborhood

Get to know a real Seattle neighborhood with coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, Green Lake and Woodland Park Zoo, all within walking distance, and a short drive or bus ride to downtown and Seattle Center. The Phinney Guest Cottage can accommodate 2 adults. A twin air mattress is available for an older child.

This stand-alone house is decorated with a charming blend of antiques and contemporary furniture, and thoughtfully appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stackable washer/dryer. Relax in the cozy living room and stay in touch with free Wi-Fi. Enjoy a glass of wine in the evening on the sunny enclosed deck.

Phinney Ridge is a truly walkable neighborhood: no need for a car since you can walk everywhere and take the bus downtown (and avoid parking hassles!). The bus stop is a few steps away, and schedules and details are all provided for you. Restaurants close-by include Mediterranean, Thai, American, Greek, vegetarian, Mexican and the best burgers and onion rings in Seattle at Red Mill. Because this is Seattle, there are six excellent coffee shops within just a few blocks, including our favorite half a block away. May through September, the farmers' market on Friday afternoons is a great place to find delicious local produce.

This little cottage is the cutest and it is very easy to access the bus to get anywhere around Seattle. The land lady who does live in front of the property gives a total amount of privacy that you would need, but also will fix anything in a jiffy very sweet lady to work with.

What a delightful cottage in a fascinating, vibrant community in Seattle! We reveled in the many restaurants, coffee shops, bars and distinctive shops a few feet from our door. There is also very easy access to downtown Seattle by my favorite #5 bus! Linda was the consummate host, making us feel like valued, personal guests. She kindly accommodated our change in plans to allow us to stay an extra day, and did so many extra things to make our trip special. We will remember our vacation and stay with fond memories for many years. This spot will be top of my list for a return visit.

The cottage is very well appointed -- stove, fridge etc in the kitchen, with attractive art on the walls. Linda greeted us on our arrival, so the check-in and out process was very simple. It is a few doors from a street that is full of life with restaurants bars and bakeries.

Beautiful cottage with all you could ask for, and a little more! Linda was extremely kind and I felt very much at home while away from home. Extremely clean spaces with a washer and dryer and plenty of space to comfortably exist! Beautiful quiet neighborhood just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and the university. I'd give six stars if I could!

The owner Linda answered all questions in advance of booking and arrival and later while we stayed at this rental. She answered all inquiries in advance of matter of minutes. Her answers were useful to the planning process. The rental itself was charming. It was spacious, well appointed, and stocked with an array of amenities. The cottage was located on a quiet street. We used public transportation. The rental was a convenient walk to the bus stop. Buses ran frequently, making it easy to connect to the Light Rail. The neighborhood is filled with cafes, bakeries, breweries, restaurants and bookstores. We frequented quite a few. Thank you Linda for a wonderful stay.

This cottage was very comfortable and clean. It is located in a great neighborhood. There were lots of shops, restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The cottage is on a quiet side street off the main boulevard that goes through the area. Green Lake is in easy walking distance. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Seattle!Even though I do not know about skiing in the area, the review required a rating so I gave it a 5
