Great location for walking into town

The condo location is just far enough to the south of Kona, easy to walk to all services. Ali'i Drive is very busy, but cars are aware of many bikers and walkers. The pool was nice, awesome view of the sunset. There is beach yoga every morning at 8:00 on the beach just to the south of the property, pay what you feel is fair. There were beach towels (3), but no chairs or umbrellas.

Great Condo

Easy to access, great communication with management team, amazing location! The highlight was the balcony with view on the beach and the ocean! And, what can you ask more than making your pina colada and drinking it by the beach or the pool?!

Castle Resorts was horrible at communication and incorrect billing.

I was charged $500 above the agreed upon price with VRBO for a 5 day stay by Castle resorts. They never returned my calls, & it took close to 2 months for VRBO to get a response from them informing them that it is illegal to increase the price once it is agreed to on VRBO. They then said I owed the incorrect amount & this was a week before our scheduled date. That was finally corrected a week before our time there. I had to ask Castle Resorts when I would receive final instructions on entry to the Condo. They said 24-48 hours prior to start date. This never happened, & contacting Kona Reef was incredibly difficult. They never answer the phone, & they don’t return calls.

Great location with wonderful views, but...

Very nice complex with a wonderful view of the ocean and walking distance to restaurants and attractions. The unit itself is a bit rundown and could have been cleaner. There is a sign asking tenants to leave shoes at the door. So we did and our feet were turning brown from what looked like clean tile floors that actually weren't. We also arrived to the dishwasher containing dirty, smelly dishes from the previous guests. Our attempts to contact the rental agency responsible for the unit (Castle Resorts) via email and telephone went unanswered the entire week. There are nicer units in the same complex for less money , we learned during our stay. We did, however, thoroughly enjoy the Big Island.
