About this property

Josies Joint-New for 2024 Newly built only 3.5 Miles off Blacktop

Nestled with the wild horses this newly constructed cottage is perfect for newlyweds, empty nesters, romantics or small families. Located in Swan Beach, directly across the street from the federal wild life preserve and the closest community to the black top, gives quick access to shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

Linens and towels are NOT provided.

House is accessible by 4WD vehicles only. Vehicles MUST have a county-issued Beach Parking Permit properly displayed to park on the beach from the last Saturday of April through the first Saturday in October. ONE beach parking permit available for a $100.00 refundable deposit when pass is returned.

If you need a little extra room please check out our other VRBO listing # 3108216, "Mellow For Shore". These two homes are next door to each other and would be great for a family gathering.

***Our cancellation policy is strictly enforced between Memorial Day and Labor Day. We are willing to give options but no refund will be issued***

**You are choosing to rent a house in a wooded setting. Remember, there are bugs of all kinds and then some. We will not entertain complaints of mosquitos, spiders, snakes....etc. We have midges, they are attracted to light. To keep them out of the house keep outside lights off when not in use. They are harmless. They do not bite or sting. If they get in the house please DO NOT SWAT at them and leave black streaks on the ceiling. Just leave them alone. In most cases they will be dead by morning. We do treat the house on a regular basis. If you see a dead bug that means our pest control is working. **

Our beach house is rented and maintained by US. We do not accept guests under 4 stars. Sorry bad past experience.
Dogs only. Pre-approval required. Dogs must be crated when left unattended. Poop bagging is mandatory. Not allowed on furniture or beds.
Personal grills, smokers, griddles or boilers are not to be used on the property. No ORV permitted. Sorry, bad past experience.

Just what we needed

My wife and I wanted a quiet calm week to enjoy the beach at our pace. We were able to do that and enjoy quiet evenings at the rental. Perfect location for us on the 4X4 beach and away from all the hustle and bustle of the OBX towns. Highly recommend this property and the owner! Top Notch!

Amazing!

The cottage was small and adorable! Perfect for couple or small family. Drive to house was an adventure in itself and 4WD is definitely needed! Wild horses came and visited us right at the house!!! Owners were amazing and attentive. Absolutely perfect.
