This place was very cute. Perfect for what we needed. There were 2 downfalls. 1st, a train. it was the horn ALL night long. Kept us up all night. We had to wear earbuds to get sleep. 2nd, no hot water. Luke warm at best.
Very comfortable and useful space. Felt like a small house. Large kitchen and bathroom. Good AC and air circulation. Was able to have meals with guests out on the back patio. Very close to downtown Eau Gallie. Bring earplugs for the train at night. Otherwise the unit is quiet and out of the way with beautiful views out the windows. Floor was dirty when we arrived, but a nice broom and dustpan was available for our use. Sofa bed only had a top sheet and it was dirty and on the floor when we arrived, but we had a nice washer and dryer unit to wash it in. Very good TV with lots of streaming options including local channels. A bit of confusion about check out time. The cleaning person came an hour early at 10 AM but she agreed that my confirmation email said checkout was after 11 AM and she waited until that time. We really enjoyed the restaurants and parks in the area.
Had heard that Melbourne had an arty area near the inter-coastal and found this property near there. We are walkers so in a 15 minute walk we had most everything we were looking for. Restaurants, park, water views, bars, galleries and lots of nice people. The unit is well stocked and grill worked great. While the block the unit is in shares a landscaping/tree business and couple other light industrial, we found no issues with that as it was a well lit and secure area. The owner responded promptly to my inability to unlock door and fixed it within seconds! (it could have been me.. but he responded very quickly) Short drive over to the historic downtown which was great shopping and eating experience. Would come back if this area is in my travel plans again.
