Relax with the whole family at this peaceful retreat. Enjoy the serenity of cool mountain living. This private home has two bedrooms, updated bathroom, full kitchen, dining, living room, and large deck with a swing plus sitting area. It has everything you need to get away! 5 minutes away from the Mountain Coaster and tubing!

Perfect for relaxing with the family after a busy day of hiking or wine tasting! Please note that cell service can be spotty up here so make sure you connect to the wifi!
**Disclaimer: We offer Starlink Internet which is the fastest you will find up here. This is the mountains and sometimes the weather and other things cannot keep the connection going. Please know that if the internet is interrupted, we will do everything in our power to get it going again.

Bathroom has hotel size soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion.
We are only a text away and pride ourselves on our quick response time. We have individuals on call in the area for emergencies. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival.
The Scaly Mountain Cottage is located just 10-15 minutes from charming Downtown Highlands and Historic Clayton where you will find the most sought after restaurants, upscale shopping and the popular Dillard House. Horseback riding, zip lining, hiking and many other activities can also be found just a few minutes from the cabin. Experience country charm with all of today's modern amenities.
The guests will have access to the entire house. They will receive a code prior to arrival for entry.
This home is centrally located about 10-15 minutes from Highlands and Dillard ensuring that you will always have things to do or just stay and enjoy your relaxing mountain getaway! Enjoy the fresh mountain air from your furnished front porch, and then gather around the firepit out in the yard and watch the stars come out. Plenty of local hiking and waterfalls to see while in the area.
Guest will drive up the back driveway (second driveway on the right). Please look for the rep reflector pole, follow the drive up until the road splits, take a right and the house will be the first right, sign in front to direct you. You will see signs directing you to the house with the house numbers on it.

When leaving the house make sure to go down the front driveway directly in front of the house. It is a little steeper than the back driveway that you came up but it is a one-way!

*Make sure you have the location plugged into your GPS. Service can get spotty up there so you will want the map already pulled up. When you get to the house you can connect to the wifi.*

Charming house.

The house was very charming. We had no issues with the cleanliness of the property. The house was decorated beautifully. It was also a nice location. Private & secluded but only a short drive to Highlands!

Quaint and quiet

This mountain cabin has been updated and was clean and well stocked on our arrival. Very quiet area and close to family that we were visiting. The driveway is a bit steep so the 4x4 came in handy, but it's the mountains so not unusual for the area. Internet service is a bit spotty and not 'high speed' but again - that's normal for the area. We will look to stay here again for our next visit to the area.

Peaceful

Great place to relax after running around looking at waterfalls and shopping. Kids loved collecting acorns and wrestling on the grass. Owner was accommodating and responsive to any minor issues. Would stay again.
