About this property

Affordable charm on 3 private rolling acres

This Scaly Mountain cabin is perfect for a couple looking for an adventurous and/or romantic weekend in the mountains! The hiking options are bountiful! You can check out the waterfalls at Glen Falls, head up to Sunset Rock in Highlands to watch the sun go down, or choose from over a dozen other trail options. Most of the trailheads are within a 20 minute drive or less! If hiking isn’t your thing, this cabin is five minutes from Sky Valley Golf Course, Highland Outpost Adventure Park, numerous trout fishing spots, and about twenty minutes from Clayton, GA (heading south) or Highlands, NC (heading north). Both Clayon and Highlands offer plenty of dining/bar options.

Inside, you’ll find a bedroom/living area that flows seamlessly into the kitchen. Thankfully, you don’t have to walk too far for your midnight snacks if that hunger from hiking hits you in the night!

The property features a rustic barn and some seating areas outside. There is plenty of land if you want to bring your pup! Just note that the yard is not fenced. Stroll the charming gravel lanes at either end of the property. In June and July, the huge front flower beds are filled with flowers. Picnic at the rustic picnic table in the charming treed fairy garden. Rest in the variety of seating options about the property. Often, the grazing cows across the lane will greet you with calming moos

Guests will have access to the entire cabin and property. We encourage you to walk around and enjoy! If you need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out!

This cottage is simply amazing! 5 star quality with so much charm. The host left nothing to be desired. The location is so close to many great places…including great thrift and antique finds. This was an amazing spot to stay while in town for a wedding at The Vineyard at High Holly!
