You will have access to the entire house. You're welcome to bring your own boat and beach it in front of the house or rent a boat at Big Water Marina or Portman Marina. The boat ramp is just a couple of minutes away and makes it easy to drop in your boat. The boat in the water is off limits to guests.

-The road to access the home is gravel and a short, easy drive, but it is privately owned and maintained. We strictly ask that you not exceed 15mph on this road as to not sling gravel and disturb neighbors.

-We have a few neighbors, and while they are spaced out very privately, we want to avoid any loud parties or chaos that would impact their daily lives at their private residences. If you're having a college reunion or a wild shindig, this isn't the right place to rent.

Peaceful beautiful lake property

2 couples meeting half way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave. We went to town once and loved the botanical garden and also ate at the brewery. Would love to return next year!

Lake House Review

The house was clean upon entry and owner responded to questions fairly quickly. However, the listing isn’t up to date. We were so looking forward to using the hot tub but it was not communicated that it wasn’t working until I asked upon arrival. The listing also says there are two queen beds in one bedroom yet that is not the case. We also found that there was limited soap that was watered down. So we couldn’t wash our hands in the bathroom. We had a nice retreat but felt like the listing didn’t accurately reflect the house.

Couples Getaway

We had 4 couples on our trip. Not one of us has a bad thing to say about the property! Plenty of room, great decor, spacious deck around fire pit, very well stocked, among many other things. We did not use the hot tub or the floats/water supplies so I can't speak to those. We mostly boated, fished, and explored. Any of that, I highly recommend and this place suites it all!

Tranquil Stay, But...

The Good: The house was spacious, with a great view. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful -- perfect in that way for my visit with older parents. The kitchen was well stocked. The Bad: The host expects you to take the trash & recycling to a center that's three miles away and not open every day. We had to scramble to take most of it there the night before we left, because it wasn't open the day we were checking out, and then put the rest of it in our car on our way out and try to find somewhere to dispose of it. That's way too much to ask. There was also an ant problem in the upstairs bathroom, and some of the TV remotes had no batteries. Some of the electrical outlets weren't grounded.Bottom line: It's a nice place. I would stay here again IF they took care of the trash.

Great Experience!

We all loved the house, it had everything we needed. I was nervous because I had never been to this location and I wanted it to be extra special for my sister’s 60th birthday. It was a perfect location and we loved sitting out by the lake early morning and late evening to watch the sunset. Everything was nice and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We had such a great time, we decided we needed to make a family get together an annual event. Thank you!

Jones Family Getaway

Upon arrival, we found the back door wide open. The small fan in the downstairs room was on and light was on. The hot tub was cold and very dirty. Did not work The outdoor furniture was very dirty. There were only two trash bags in the house for 7 people to stay 3 days. No dish soap, scrubbers for the pans. Pans were dirty in the cabinet. Lake was nice. Enjoyed the fire pit.

Perfect Lake House for Family

It was a perfect house for anyone to enjoy a weekend getaway. Right on the lake with fire pit, lake activity gears, hot tub, zip line, basketball, trampoline, kids toys. 6 adults stayed comfortably, kids had blast! Downtown Heartwell is close enough with some options to dine out. But the house kichen is fully equipped with stainless steel cook wear and things! I have no complaints. Basement room could be a little cleaner but It was ok. I recommend this house!
