We had a wonderful stay at Rizzo’s River Run Retreat. The location right along the Sevier River is peaceful and relaxing. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s also perfectly located for easy trips to Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon. We’d definitely stay here again!

Oh my gosh thank you for this! So glad Rizzo's fit the bill for a relaxing getaway. We love the pics too, come back soon!
We only stayed for one night passing through and got in quite late, but it was a lovely little spot on the river. Beds were comfy and the cabin was well appointed. We also had a lovely meal at the Red Dirt Diner.
Great place to stay! Comfy cozy cabin with fun wildlife to view and feed. The river being so close is awesome. Even though we were on fire restrictions there was a propane fire table to roast smores. I would definitely stay here again. The hosts are easy going and accommodating.
Rizzo's run did not disappoint. The location was wonderful and the property was just as described. Deer and Turkey roaming around and such a cute place.
Small but very well equipped cabin in a beautiful location. Right on the edge of a beautiful Creek, we had deer at our door every morning & evening. Very clean with great owners!

Awww, thank you for your kind words Lynne! It's about 1000 square feet with both a king and queen bed, plus living room and a full kitchen...we aimed to make the most of every inch! So glad our deer family made you feel welcome, come back soon!
This was the perfect spot for us and our dog. Close to Bryce and Red Canyon as well as Zion. The cabin was great and we had no issues. We were greeted by a Buck and his does when we arrived so it set the tone perfectly.

We're so thrilled you enjoyed your time at Rizzo's! You were our first official guests there! Thanks for being so awesome, please come back soon.
Great place, peaceful, enjoy quiet wildlife, great host.
Able to stay at a place where we could be near National Parks of UT & travel through state to see so many geological changes in this state & views of the mountains & flat areas. We were able to visit Red & Bryce Canyons & the Glen Canyon Dam & see the town of Page. Weather was sure clear & quite hot. Home was very comfortable temperature as nights would cool considerably.

Thank you for being such wonderful guests, Karen! We're glad you could navigate easily to some cool places from Rizzo's. Thank you also for mentioning the comfortable temperature in the cabin, even during an extreme heat wave across the southwest! The cool overnight temps make AC unnecessary here, which is nice!
We were looking for a place to stage out of for trips to the Arches, Canyonland and Bryce Canyon and the location was perfect. Also looking for laid-back, mellow and quiet location. This place fit the bill. Cozy and tight, but comfortable and with great access to the river. The local deer visited many times. Owner was great with communication and place was as advertised.

Thanks for the helpful review, Steve! So glad Rizzo's fit the bill for your family. We agree that 4 adults in 1000 square feet of space with a full kitchen is the maximum occupancy for our guest cabin! Come back soon - the deer were thrilled you brought them a big bag of food, thanks again!
My wife and i needed a little R&R for the long weekend. We found this hidden gem and were thrilled to spend our weekend at this property. The checkin / checkout was easy and the communication with the host was awesome. The river is literally a few steps away. Unfortunately. It rained throughout the weekend, but we did get to chill a little by the river.
Would definitely look to book again in the future.

We're so glad you enjoyed your time at Rizzo's Adnan! We love all of the seasons and weather... each bring different experiences but always relaxation. Come back soon!
My wife and I recently had an opportunity to stay at Rizzo‘s River run. The only problem we had is not being able to stay longer! We had a great experience, it was extremely clean, comfortable, in a beautiful setting, and as advertised, we got to meet a very friendly group of deer as well as some nervous pre-Thanksgiving turkeys. Lol. We had a very nice stay and the owner was absolutely wonderful for any questions or concerns. We would absolutely stay again.

Ha! Well next time you'll just have to stay longer! We're so glad you enjoyed your time at Rizzo's, hope to host you again very soon. 😊🦌🦃
We had an amazing stay at Rizzo’s River Run! The cabin is just like described/pictured. Tonya was great at communicating…she answered all of my questions within an hour. Check-in and check-out was super easy. The cabin was very clean. It was fully stocked with everything you need…coffee, creamer, crockpot, shampoo, soap, fishing poles, food for the deer, etc. We saw so many deer during our stay! The neighborhood is a quiet, central location in Hatch. The river was so close to the cabin…about 100ft away. We were able to sit by the river, our daughters used the swing, and we even did a fire for s’mores. I can’t wait to stay there again, and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone!

Oh yay!!! This just makes us so very happy Teresa! We aim to make our guests feel at home with all of the essentials, and a few extras. 😉 When the kids use the swing, hammocks, or make s'mores, that especially warms this teacher/mom's heart! ♥️ Thank you for your thoughtful review and recommendation, hope to host you again soon!
Rizzo’s was absolutely wonderful! How wonderful? We have already booked our next stay in a month! This place is a gem with a 10 SECOND walk to the Sevier River. We ate each meal at the picnic table next to the river, sat outside listening to the rushing water (so peaceful), enjoyed bird watching, fed chipmunks, and loved the morning and evening deer visits!
The cabin itself is well-appointed with amenities and decorated tastefully. As soon as we walked in, we felt at home. It was just what we needed and wanted to relax and rejuvenate!
Our host, Tonya, told us about Mossy Cave being her favorite place to hike, so we went and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Our stay was an 11 out of 10! The culmination of the setting, the accommodations, and the host put it over the top.

Wow, Suzie! Guests like you make hosting a truly rewarding experience. Thank you for recognizing all of the work and thought put into Rizzo's River Run, so that we are able to continue to share its magic. We really appreciate that you felt right at home and treated it as such! Happy to hear you took advantage of the easy, free hike at Mossy Cave with the magnificent waterfall payoff - looking forward to hosting you again next month! 😊🐿️🐦🏞️🦌👍
We loved our stay at Rizzo’s River Run and cannot wait to return! The hosts are GREAT communicators and very accommodating and helpful. We came in late December and the snow was coming down all week! The driveways are gravel and clean, there was virtually no mud anywhere! We enjoyed a campfire by the river in the snow and the experience was UNFORGETTABLE! The serenity of the river was exactly what we needed at the end of a long year. The deer roam onto the property throughout the day creating a majestic winter scene! We were also pleasantly surprised that Bullberry St gets plowed in the winter, so access was a breeze even in the 8-inches of snow that had accumulated by the time we left. The cabin is perfectly located minutes from Duck Creek (20 mins) and equal distances between Zion, Bryce Canyon and Panguitch Lake (40 +/- minutes to each). Rizzo’s cabin is a secondary cabin on the property, with the main house being by the river. The hosts made clear that we had access to the entire property and the walk to the river from the cabin is a short 75 feet or so (the riverside area is the backyard of the main house). The property is well lit at night too; not obnoxiously lit, but not creepy dark either. Rizzo’s cabin is bigger inside than the pics portray. It’s a cozy 2-bedroom; one bedroom is open to the kitchen area and the other is more of a master bedroom size with a door. The single restroom was more than adequate and the shower is perfect (clean, ENDLESS HOT WATER and good water pressure)! We really enjoyed our stay here! It accommodated our family of 4 (two adults, two teens and our small dogs) PERFECTLY! We’ll be back soon because we’d really love to visit in the spring too!

Wow, Laurie! I think you have described our property better than I have! We are so thrilled you enjoyed your stay and experienced the magic there. Thank you for the thoughtful and kind words. We'd love to host you and your family again any time of year - each season has its own magic!
About the host
Hosted by Tonya
I am a teacher in Las Vegas and my husband, Phil, is a safety officer for a construction company. We rented the main house on VRBO for our 30th anniversary in 2020 - our first time ever using VRBO. The property happened to be for sale! We weren't sure that we could afford it, but we went for it - fixed up the guest house to rent out so we could share our little piece of paradise and help pay the bills, and the rest is history!
Why they chose this property
The magic of the property is difficult to put into words. The river has a special energy that immediately brings a sense of peace. Relationships flourish here and you are able to fully relax and reflect in nature's healing space.
What makes this property unique
Rizzo was the first deer to eat from our hands and allow us to interact with her. She was named after Rizzo from the movie 'Grease', a little rough around the edges but deep down sweet as can be. Rizzo's River Run is named in her honor - we will love her forever.
