About this property

Private Luxurious Ridgetop Hideaway on 9 Acres! Between Bryce & Zion! A\C

-- 3D walthrough: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=jwK3stBmCRb --

Come and stay at the Ridgetop Hideaway, an air conditioned 3 bedroom, 3 bath, 2050 sq. ft. mountain home for the discerning traveller with split open floor plan on 9 private acres with no neighbors. The house has 2 King master suites on the main floor (one with a 55" smart TV) and 1 King bedroom mother in law suite downstairs with bath, kitchenette & separate large smart TV in the bright walk-out basement (your rental is for the entire house, including upstairs and downstairs). The property has fabulous views of Long Valley, the pink Paunsagaunt Cliffs, the surrounding mountains and Asay Creek, with opportunities to see local wildlife. All TVs offer Netflix and Amazon Video streaming service (no broadcast, cable or satellite channels), as well as Pandora for music and ambiance.

The house has modern appliances, granite counter tops, blue pine custom cabinets, high end sheesham wood furniture, air conditioning, tile and bamboo floors with carpet in the bedrooms, a pellet stove in the great room, and lots of windows throughout the home to bring the outdoors in. A fully automatic coffee / espresso maker along with all you can drink coffee beans is provided as well. Free wifi is available throughout the house.

Relax in lounge chairs on the 8 foot covered wrap-around deck with gas BBQ, enjoy the large ensuite bathrooms with state of the art walk-in showers, appreciate the convenience of a large 2 car garage (with brand new Ping Pong table!). A yoga mat is provided for your sunrise yoga session on the deck.

This beautiful home is centrally located in the heart of ”Color Country” at approx. 7000 feet (its cooler at this elevation!) and surrounded by the Dixie National Forest. Bryce Canyon is about 30 minutes away and Zion National Park about 50 minutes thru breathtaking scenery.

Access to miles and miles of hiking and ATV trails, fly fishing plus stream & lake fishing on the Asay & Mammoth Creeks or nearby lakes are all yours to enjoy. Panguitch Lake, Aspen Mirror Lake, Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks and Brian Head Resort & Duck Creek Village are each less than 45 minutes away.

We have a strict no-pet and no-smoking policy. The access road to the house is steep and unpaved. A normal passenger sedan is fine for accessing the property during the summer, however a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required for access during the winter. Access via motorcycle is not recommended during any season.

About our cleaning fee: you may wonder why our cleaning fee is so high. Due to the rural location of the property, there are few reliable professional cleaners available, so good cleaners are able to charge a premium. Many competing vacation rentals use spotty cleaners or family members to clean. We do not compromise on cleaning services because we want you to find the property spotless, just like you would expect at a high end resort. We also use only eco-friendly cleaning products and laundry detergents, so that the bathroom doesn't smell of bleach and guests with alergies can feel comfortable.

Excellent Home and Centrally Located

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is close to Bryce and an hour away from Zion. The property has 3 big bedrooms, a big family room and a good sized kitchen with a large dining room table. The property was clean and well equipped. I highly recommend staying here and if you do, take a drive to Willis Creek.

LOVELY HOME ON TOP OF A PERCH!!!

Thank you for sharing your home. Although, our trip didn't turn out to be bright, sunny and wonderful...because of the rain on both days we were planning to see the beautiful Bryce Canyon...we enjoyed the homecoming both nights. The location is ideal for Bryce Canyon and Zion Park. We are planning a return trip in the next year and plan to see the sunrise at Bryce Canyon and bright starlit sky...hopefully your home will be available at that time.

Fabulous stay in an amazing home

Our group of 6 absolutely loved this home!! It was immaculate, well-stocked and had incredible views. It was in a perfect location for us to visit both Zion and Bryce Canyon numerous times. The weather was gorgeous but chilly and we were happy to use the pellet stove. The information packet was extremely helpful and we relied on it often. We had difficulty with the coffee maker, so bought a new drip one for the house. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We loved it!!

Meteors, Milky Way and More

I can echo the many previous positive comments about Ridgetop Hideaway - it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and perched high above the valley. Very private and very dark. We had booked Ridgetop over a year ago specifically as a dark destination and nicely designed newer home from which to observe the Perseid meteor shower during the new moon and experience Bryce Canyon during the day. We were not disappointed and had a great show of moving objects in the sky above for three of our four nights. Friends had driven in from Denver with folding chairs and a telescope which we set up on the very flat spot just above the house. The fourth night was overcast, which made the rural darkness even more pronounced. Could hardly make out the horizon across the valley. As the house has three king bedrooms and three full baths, it is very accommodating. We chose the main floor master and our friends made the lower floor with the small kitchen and suite their own. All appliances were in working order and modern as well. Loved the Krups coffee maker that ground the fresh beans that were available. We did use the gas grill one night and dined outside. The wraparound deck is a plus and very substantial - not a squeaky wooden deck. A very clean home. The window blinds are really great and they work very well. No dusty drapes to obstruct the views. As others have mentioned, this is a steep drive to the house, and best initially experienced during daylight. The provided directions were very detailed and neither couple had any difficulties arriving. The closest town is nearby Hatch and we dined there once for breakfast at the Galaxy Diner and also for dinner one night at the Outlaw Saloon. Breakfast was very good and basic. Outlaw Saloon bills itself as a bar with a restaurant and was okay given the proximity. We bought groceries in Panguitch and dined there one night at Cowboy's Smokehouse Cafe which was good and very popular. Bryce was a short and direct drive and we were in the park each day within 30 minutes. The house was so enjoyable that we spent more time there than sightseeing it seemed. Cannot stress how quiet it was - only three homes on the road and Ridgetop is the last on the road. It is better than in the photos. Jean was an extremely good host - always available to quickly answer my emailed questions. Most accommodating and genuine. We really loved this home and bet you will too.

Great home bàse to see thesurrounding National parks. Being from SC Low country with flat lands and oceans it was truly a wonderful experience to see the completely different landscapes. It's something you truly need to see to appreciate the magnificent rock formations. I've seen many pictures of Utah but pictures just can't possibly do it justice. The house was lovely and we enjoyed seeing the wild life both at night and in the day. We loved the privacy of all three bedrooms and baths. I certainly recommend the views of this well stocked home if you're looking to enjoy the sites of Utah in September. The weather couldn't have been more perfect!

Trip to Bryce Canyon

The size and layout of this house was perfect for our group of 5 adults - 2 couples and a single. Three bathrooms made it so easy for everyone to get up and ready for the day's adventures. Beds were comfortable, although we did have to share with the owners that pillows on one bed had a funky smell and that, the bed linens were definitely not bleached as the guest book stated. We were pleased with a quick response to our message and hope for a positive change for future guests. The kitchen was well stocked and the views couldn't have been better. We enjoyed watching the clouds roll out one morning and the stars from the porch at night.

Get base for the parks

Ridgetop is a wonderful property that is located about 3 miles south of the small town of Hatch and convenient to multiple national parks and monuments. All 3 bed rooms with showers or baths, a full kitchen, and a wrap around deck with great views.

Lovely porch

Accurate listing. Clean, large home with a lovely porch. We used it as a base camp for visiting Bryce Canyon after leaving Zion. Trip to Bryce was about 40 minutes through Red Canyon on scenic hwy 12, which was so beautiful that we didnt mind the distance. All information provided in advance was helpful. Definitely stop at a grocery store on your way in and enjoy breakfast and dinner on the porch!

Lovely landing spot near Bryce and Zion

My husband and I brought our parents to Utah for a week of hiking, sightseeing, and relaxing. We got a major grocery haul in Salt Lake City on the way down from the airport and used that food all week in the well-equipped kitchen (and grill outside). We were pretty tired after spending all day outside in the parks, so we were happy to have a cozy, clean, and fully outfitted house to relax in. The sunlight and expansive views are beautiful. We loved it and would definitely return in the future!

Beautiful Place!

The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful the location of the home is! Can not say enough good things about our stay! Many things were available in the home of you forgot or needed something. We had no trouble finding the house, directions were perfect! Central location to Bryce, Zion and the North Rim. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Sites and Relaxation

Everything was as advertised. We didn't run into any surprises. It was roomy. We went with another couple and we had space for privacy if you wanted. View from the deck was nice and the star gazing at night was terrific. We enjoyed Zion and Bryce National Parks, the North Rim Grand Canyon along with a couple of lazy days relaxing at the house. Overall, we had a very nice stay.,
