Nice place for family to get away to the great outdoors. Very clean and comfortable stay. Close to Luray and lots of outdoor activities. Kids loved the swing in the yard, and bon fire area was lovely to sit around in the evening. Dog had plenty of space to run. Would recommend!
We had a fantastic time staying here. A perfect spot in the Mountains, 7 min commute to the main street. The house was ideal for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. We will absolutely book next time we head to the Mts. Thank you for having us :)
My sis and I wanted a weekend in the mountains to relax and cheer on friends in a trail race. This sweet house was ideal for us and my dog. It was super clean, easy parking, easy to check in, very convenient to all of our adventures. Highly recommend!
We stayed two nights in the cabin and had a good overall experience. There was only one thing that could’ve been better but it appears to be out of the hosts control and not bad enough to give less than a five star review because of how clean the cabin was and how cozy and quiet our stay was.
The water in the cabin has an iron-like taste and smell but that is true in most any restaurant or other place we we visited in Luray. It appears to be an issue in the area as a whole and maybe it coincides with the time of year we were staying there, early Summer, but I would suggest bringing your own drinking water until the issue is fixed, showering is fine however.
That aside, the stay is certainly worthy of five stars and I would stay again when given the chance!
Took our 2 kiddos to luray for a nice getaway weekend and that is just what we got. Home was very nice, perfect size for us! Kids loved the swing outside too! Thank yoy for a great stay.
Zero respect for guest safety. Greedy, misleading, and cruel
The ordeal of trying to stay at this location was really unfortunate. The night before arrival the hosts sent a message that there was a “fire warning” in the area, but that this didn’t mean any immediate danger and just to be careful to avoid starting fires and disposing of cigarettes.I assumed this meant there were conditions possible for a fire. Their message said to stay alert to local updates but didn’t provide any more info.
Upon arrival we realize there are ACTIVE wildfires 2,000 feet away on both sides, and the property had been under evacuation orders from the day before their misleading email. we had to scrounge to stay at another hotel, and I assumed the hosts would be embarrassed they gambled on the chance that the wildfire would be handled. I assumed there was no chance they would fight me for a refund. didn’t cancel that first night because we hoped that rain the following day might put it out, which didn’t happen, so we paid for another nights hotel stay. lot of adrenaline and panic the whole weekend. By the time I can explain to vrbo what happened, I get push back from the hosts that they gave adequate communication. After a week of trying to clarify to vrbo how misleading and unconcerned with our safety the hosts were, vrbo said it was not within the cancellation window of the property’s cancellation policy. Was able to contest the charge through my bank (s/o to Wyatt with BoA) but I would never ever trust these hosts with the safety of my friends and family.

Great location for easy drive to Shenandoah national park!
Solid and comfortable home. All the coming things worked well including grill, oven, stove, fridge, dishwasher. Made for an easy stay. Communication was clear and they were very easy to work with! Kitchen had all the essentials (butter, salt, pepper, plus a spice rack).
Wonderful house in great location to visit Shenandoah NP
We stayed here for a week in early May so we could hike in Shenandoah National Park. The house was in the perfect location, with easy access to the Thornton Gap entrance. We appreciated that the owners allowed dogs so we could bring our German Shepard with us. The house was clean and well stocked, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Our dog loved the large yard to run in and we enjoyed spending our evenings sitting on the deck. If you get a clear night, the stars are amazing. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Shenandoah.
My wife and I work from home and needed a quick weekend getaway with the family and this was perfect. Beautiful home and property to enjoy the outdoors and hiking, and site seeing in Luray.
