Dated and run down, but clean. Bed was old and saggy. If we had the option to cancel after we saw room, we would have. Close to downtown and the water though
We wanted a location close to the venue for the wedding we would attend and this was perfect. It is also an easy walk to restaurants and stores. The place seemed freshly painted and wallpapered, but the carpet is due for replacement. The closet was difficult to open -- this might improve with a different carpet. The bed is too high (or the nightstands are too short). One of the lamps had a severed cord. The proprietor responded very quickly to questions and provided clear instructions for access.
If you’re the type of person who needs to be fawned-over by hotel staff, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable, clean place to lay your head while travelling, welcome to the King George Inn!This place is perfectly priced for what it offers. You get a bed, a coffee machine, a bathroom with towels and hot running water, a chair, at TV, Free internet (very fast!), and a closet. What more could you need? The location is a ten-minute walk from the historic Old Town and about five minutes from the fort. This was a great place to stay and perfect at its price point. Highly suggested for travellers who prize value over frills! We’ll be coming back for sure.
If you’re looking for amenities and service, this probably isn’t for you. I was looking for a clean place to lay my head and it suited me perfectly.

could use a fridge
could use a fridge and a better check out process than leaving key in a open box outside the door.

Overall, it was a decent stay had one issue with the room number that I was supposed to get but when I called, I was given a different room number very quickly. Only issue I had was the parking lot was blocked off and had to park on the street but other than that I would stay there again.
The building is in terrible state.
Inside though dated was clean.
Beds were small.
Balcony very dangerous, rotted.
Way over priced for you get.

Didn't realize there was parking around back, so got a parking ticket. Would have been nice if they at least had put a little sign up. No fridge in this room.
reasonable price, good location.

When you pull up to the property it looks like they are out of business. One can see furniture stacked up in the windows and it just looks closed. I have a hotel background and this place does not look like I expected. That being said, the room was acceptable, rhe bed was comfortable, the bathroom was surprisingly nice and the cable provided had a great selection. The carpet needs replacing. Unfortunately I was a little embarrassed to bring my girlfriend there but being the person that she is, she just overlooked and we had a great time in NOTL nonetheless.

Have reported this scam to the Ontario police, This place has been closed for some time. We spent half of our two day vacation searching for another accomodation. We feel we should be given some compinsation for this scam. Shame on you for not looking into it before we arrived there. VRBO said that the owner denied our claim, the police are looking into this scam.

This is a VRBO but Expedia info didn’t say it is until already booked. No information was sent re access to the building. Already paid for room in advance. Took quite a while to find a number to call. The host was good but the information should have been given in advance. The stairs are steel and the bed is high. Not great for my needs. But it was a good room.

Ugly if functional
No foyer, no lampshades. Bed weirdly high. Hot and cold running water - but planning notice of pending rebuild and ugly - just ugly.
