Description was right on. Almost everything, except food, was provided. Property manager called on arrival day, we did not have any problems, so no more contact was made. Fished off the dock, on unseasonably warm weather. Caught some nice bluegills, a great way to spend a summer day. Very quiet, enjoyed the Amish on horse and buggy going past the cabin. A wonderful stay.
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin and will probably return again next year. The weather was fantastic, and fishing was good. Our hosts were great and checked in with us before, during and after our stay.
Had a wonderful time in Long Prairie. Was able to see the Northern Lights. Such a beautiful sight. As always the cabin was amazing. The hosts go above and beyond for when you stay. Would love to come back again!!! Such a great spot!!! 1000/10
We greatly enjoyed the 4 nights at the Cozy Cabin. Walking in felt like going back to my younger days of “going North”. The cabin was comfy and the beds were great. We enjoyed the relaxing environment with lots of birds and fishing from the dock was fun. We caught panfish and bullheads. Occasional Amish traffic on the road was interesting too. Our host was super responsive and we plan to return.
Property matched the description. Property managers were always quick to respond before and during the stay and were very helpful. We had a great time and would definitely stay again. Great quiet area in a wonderful location. Only thing the owner’s couldn’t control was the heat, humidity, and lack of wind. Check the weather and bring fans (we brought 3), as it can get hot without the air conditioning. They have 3 ceiling fans and an extra fan which definitely helped too.
It was a nice cozy cabin. Enjoyed the view of the lake.
The big downfall was it was a very hot and humid weekend
and there is no A.C. in the cabin so we left a day early.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin. It was quiet and had little traffic. The kids enjoyed watching the Amish buggies go by. There was a little something for everyone to enjoy - fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. There was a nice biking/walking trail about 15 miles away. Chris and Michelle were excellent with responding to questions we had and also called to check in with us upon our arrival. There is no air conditioning in the cabin, but we had perfect weather and were quite comfortable without it. We would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a nice, quiet get away.
Perfect cabin and location. Cabin is cozy with a great view from the deck. Fun fishing from the dock and playing in the lake. Lots of wildlife, too.
Everything you’d need in the kitchen, is provided.
Chris and Michelle go above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable, great people they are!
Definitely coming back!
Just a beautiful place. Sunsets were wonderful and so nice to hear loons..so very peaceful and relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks to Chris for being so quick to respond to questions. If you are there be sure to check out the Amish store by Browerville. Try the bicrch beer its great.
10/10.
This is a peaceful location to connect with nature. The house is located immediately adjacent to the lake. Ideal for hearing owls during the evening storms and listening to the loons.Fishing will keep you busy. But relax in the pristine cabin with full use of kitchen and outdoor grill. Added touch is the washer-dryer which i used.
Cleanliness is second to none. Definitely returning.
This cabin is so peaceful and relaxing. The kids had a great time fishing off the dock catching crappie, sunfish, and blue gill. They also enjoyed the paddle board and kayaks. The cabin was very clean and well stocked.
We could have stayed all summer! Such a comfy cabin & beautiful lakefront view - so enjoyed the lions, pelicans, hummingbirds, etc. Wonderful place to kick back & relax - by a bonfire, on the deck, on the dock, or inside. It was clean and had everything you needed for a super getaway.
The cabin was amazing. The beds were so comfortable!! The first day we got there we immediately saw lots of Amish people from the community surrounding us. The nature was something else. Waking to the sound of the loon every morning was very calming. We did some minor fishing. Didn’t catch anything too crazy. Still nice to get the poke in the water. I don’t think we could say anything negative about our experience even if we tried. We would love to come back again!!
We stayed for a long weekend and it was the perfect little spot to get away to. We caught some fish off of the public docks around the area and had a nice time relaxing in the evening at the clean and comfy cabin!
This cabin is PERFECT for a quiet get away!!! And omg the SUNSETS!!! Chris contacted us when we got there and was a great host. Fishing off the dock was so relaxing. Caught some small walleyes but the bluegills were nice sized. The neighbors were all friendly and it was really neat watching the Amish buggies.
The location of your cabin was ideal for us, less than 2 hours from the Twin Cities. We loved how quiet it was. We had friends visit one afternoon and the table on the deck overlooking the lake was perfect for playing games. Our only issue was we couldn't get the DVD player to work consistently, most times it was fine but a couple times it didn't work.
We only stayed for 3 days due to an unfortunate miscommunication. Those 3 days were quite peaceful and quiet enough to meditate on the deck overlooking the lake, distracted only by the call of the loon and the clip-pity clop of the horses pulling the Amish buggies. I read two books reclining by the fire pit day one and on the dock the next…grateful for the joy.
