The Guest House was nice, very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, was perfect for our group. Chris the host was very friendly, had great communication and was very accommodating. We were very happy with our stay there. The breakfast at the cafe next store was really good.

Weekend stay

I stayed here because it was a convenient location to an event I was attending. Grey Eagle is a very nice little town, and the property owner was great to work with, even when I accidentally locked myself out.

Cute and nostalgic guest house

We went to a wedding about 40 min from this guest house. The price was great and it accommodated my family. We noticed that a new café just next door opened and had a traditional home town breakfast. Easy to find and nice stay. So much better then a hotel.

Memorable / Boston Cafe

We loved the history of the building, the location and most of all the town. It was great to be able to walk the streets any hour of the day! The people were so friendly. We would definitely stay again!!!

This was the perfect spot for me and my kids to stay while we visited family. We had an issue with the stove not working and Chris took care of it immediately and we were able to seamlessly use the kitchen for our meals. This space is tidy and cozy. The kids enjoyed the vhs collection upstairs. Thank you for a great stay!

Very nice Guest House and country town, quiet at night, very nice coffee shop about a block down ,nice walk. We were only there morning and night time, rest of the time out and about.

We really enjoyed our two night stay. The rental is easy to find and get into. Its a unique property with a lot of personality. The beds were comfortable and the place is well stocked. Upstairs in the loft there are 3 twin beds along with a fun vhs player and lots of old Disney movies. My kids loved that. We will plan to stay again next year.

Very nice little place, fit 5 adults and two teenagers perfectly. Accommodated the short stay, just a place to sleep for our drive through Minnesota. Downfall was no hot water, but it was not important given the short duration, I’m sure the water heater needed to be turned on.

Great place and location downtown Grey Eagle! Within walking distance of food/coffee! Grandma, Grandpa and Mom, Dad and baby all stayed! Nice and spacious yet cozy. All the amenities you need are included! Host is very kind and responsive!

Clean, cozy and convenient

We were in the area visiting family close by and the guesthouse was perfect for our needs. Chris was great at communicating and allowed us easy access to the property. She even set up a pack and play for our baby. It was nice to have the gas stations nearby, as well as a full kitchen. Thank you for the nice stay!

Great place to stay before our flight

Chris is a great host. She was so friendly and helpful. Her store next door has so many features too. It was neat to get the rundown on the place. My family stayed at the guesthouse before an early flight out of St. Cloud. It offered enough space and was perfect for the seven of us. It is also a unique property and was a rustic place. Thank you Chris!

Surprising

I was not aware this was an old store on main st and probably would not have been interested. But it was clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. For the price there are more amenities than a hotel. Thanks

I grew up in the Grey Eagle area on a farm. I have owned this building since 1998. Prior to buying, I rented what is now the Guest house as a gift shop for 7 years, this building holds a special place in my heart. The loft was built with home sawn lumber. We harvested the logs from the farm were I grew up, pulled the logs out of the woods with my Dads team of horses. We hauled the logs to my Uncles saw mill to saw the lumber.
In 1998 the building next door was purchased ( A small town grocery store, with a meat shop) Eventually we added the gift in the grocery store and turned the guest house into an apartment. In 2000 we added living quarters behind the store.
In about 2018 we opened the guest house for short term rental.
I quit selling grocery in 2022, We still continued to have the meat shop for our customers. I became a full service florist, (My dream job) renting Tuxedo's and continued with the Thrift, Gift & Antique Store.
In July of 2025 My Daughter opened a Cafe in the building, She's is doing a wonderful job, Home Style breakfast, and burgers with burger ground fresh in our meat shop.
I thank God every day for the opportunities and many changes over the years.
