Immerse yourself in this mountain cabin just minutes from skiing, the town, hiking, biking, and more! This renovated, open-timber floorplan has modern amenities and stainless steel appliances to accommodate your crew. Providing three decks of views, seating is provided everywhere to enjoy the scenery and listen to the creek.
Enjoy the open main floor layout! Stairs to the upper and lower floors are narrow for anyone hard of walking. We would recommend the outside stairs to go downstairs and use the side door. You have access to the entire house.
We are dog-friendly! We will ask questions and have expectations for your furry ones and please note the extra charges. The first $100 pet fee is for one dog per stay and $75 each billed separately after that, max 2 dogs. Sorry, no cats.

Good choice for people who want to be up on the mountain, but there is no place to walk to. The furnishings are tired, but the kitchen and table worked well.
Booked this stay for me and my girlfriend to go skiing with my best friend and his wife and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. It snowed like crazy but it is easily accessible from the roads that are cleared to the resort. Between the
We enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin. Close to Beech Mountain and Banner Elk. The stairs were a little tricky to navigate, but we had everything we needed for a nice weekend. We got snow while there which was fun for the kids!
Immaculately clean home, cozy and nestled in a beautiful wooded area. As mentioned by others, both sets of inside stairs were very steep so we mostly used the outside stairs to get to lower level. Owner was very kind and responsive.
Two friends and I used the cabin as a base for some hikes we were doing around Roan Mtn. The cabin is very clean, easy to access and has three separate bedrooms. It is close to several very good restaurants. We saw deer roaming the neighborhood each day. Would definitely stay again.
Bryan is an excellent and responsive host! The location was great for what we needed, and it was clean. While I recommend the home to others, you should be aware of the setup in detail so you can make the best decision for your trip. If you have small children, issues in tight spaces, or cannot handle narrow stairs, this may not be the place for you. The zero-step entry is short-lived as you have to ascend 3 steps into the kitchen/dining area, ducking under open stairs that lead to the upper floor. Those stairs to the king bedroom loft are narrow, & there are no balusters to prevent items or people from slipping off the sides. To get to the lower level, yes, there is an outside door to use to get your luggage down there, but someone has to unlock it first by going down the most narrow, and in my opinion, unsafe spiral stairs. It was safer to go down backwards like a ladder than to brave them like normal steps (I have very small feet & am petite). The door from the lower level is in the "kid room" with bunk beds; not accessible from outside w/o key/unlocking. Those mattresses are only 5" thick, and the bunk beds are a metal frame that makes tons of noise just trying to lie down on them. The heating units in each room downstairs are incredibly loud when activated, and the bathroom downstairs is cramped. There is nowhere to put a suitcase/clothes in the queen bedroom downstairs. the kitchen is well-equipped & dining area. Normal beds were very comfortable. Water pressure great.
My crew needed some time together and this was our escape from the everyday life. We enjoyed the house and the nearby towns. There is a great trail to hike right down the street that follows a creek, it’s beautiful.
First time at this property and it didn't disappoint. Took the family and pets to Beech Mountain for a brief ski weekend. The location can't be beat - close to Beech and Sugar, but far enough away to get away. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. The property is in really good shape/well maintained and the owner was easy to work with. Would definitely come back.
Met with family to ski for a short weekend. The cabin was perfect for us. The deer each morning were fun for the kids, and the book cover puzzle was a hit too! Thank you!
We had a lovely visit in the cabin. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. The only minor complaint for future improvements would be to add a few basic spices to your kitchen for those of us that like to cook and eat at home.
The deer will come when you call and eat out of your hand. They are also brazen and like to steal food from your car if you leave the doors open.
What a great house. It was by far the cleanest rental I have ever booked. Very peaceful and the deer came right up to us. Mattresses were comfortable and so was the furniture. Easy to locate. The steps inside to the downstairs and upstairs were a little steep and may cause a challenge for older individuals but most people wouldn't have any trouble. Great location. Would defenitely rent again.
good location close to the top of beech mountain restaurants, etc... very clean. very well organized and everything was labeled.I love it!
the steps to upstairs were very steep and the spiral staircase going to lowest level were steep and tight so our dog could not make it up or down safely. she is a border collie mix and likes to know where everybody is so it was stressful for her not to be able to "watch over her flock". if we travel with our dog again, we would not stay here again. But if you are traveling with just people, its great! if it was just the four of us (humans) we would definitely come back!!
My one note of caution would be the stairs inside are kinda steep. Other than that the place was great! Great location near town but out of the way. Very clean and well taken care of.
Property is exactly as described, very clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything you needed. Deer were plentiful outside! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
This cabin is exactly as pictured. Well appointed with attention paid to decorative details. In a nice quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants and shops.
Really nice place close to the slopes! Perfect for a short getaway to the mountains. Really enjoyed seeing the deer mill about. Owner was very communicative. I would recommend!
House was awesome. Quaint but great space to spread out with the upstairs and loft bedrooms.
Location is fantastic! During the busy times it was like cutting in the line as we entered into traffic of cars headed to the slopes. And no traffic to go into town for meals. Very thankful as we watched others walking from parking offsite. Quiet neighborhood, deer roaming around and enough room for our dog to fetch the frisbee. Perfect spot!
My friends and I stayed for a long weekend and we loved this cabin! Only 5 minutes away from Beech mountain and also close to restaurants and convenience stores. Bryan was great with communication. We will absolutely be back!
