Location was perfect for relaxing, enjoying the view of the sunset over the pond. My husband fished off dock. Very quiet and close to all the places we usually visit. Heated by fireplace was nice although we couldn’t lower the temp and ultimately turned it off once we were pleasantly warm. Weather was perfect.
Easy check in, gorgeous spot - and so close! We loved the hot tub and the lake, and found the house with everything we needed to enjoy a week of relaxation with our two kids, 10 and 13. Thank you, Matt and Kathy! We had a great time!
We enjoyed a quiet and fun weekend at Kathy’s place right on the water of a tranquil pond. Plenty of space for hanging by the fire or enjoying activities. Kathy went above and beyond to return an item we mistakenly left in the house, great communication and checkin/out was a breeze! Recommend
This property checked all the boxes for us: peaceful, water views and access, secluded but with easy access to ocean, shopping, and restaurants, and an overall relaxing space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent this again!

Thanks Ginger. Your welcome any time. We have been doing this for 20 years and appreciate the business. Love to have you back.
We had a great time at this cottage. Kathy was easy to get in touch with, the property was clean, the hot tub was amazing, and the view was spectacular.
We spent a couple of nights at this lovely place on the lake - the beds were comfortable, it was quiet and private, and we *loved* the hot tub! Even in winter, there was so much to see and do nearby in York, Ogunquit, etc. Beautiful location!

Thank you gor coming and staying at our place. Hope you can make it back some time.
Lovely serene and quiet lake front property, with available canoe and kayaks with paddles and life jackets, and a hot tub. Easy access to ocean beaches, shopping, and good restaurants. Close to hiking, Kittery outlets, nature preserves and Portsmouth NH.
My family, including my parents, stayed here for 6 days and loved every minute of it! My father has just completed a round of chemotherapy so we were looking for a place to rest, relax, and enjoy some family time and this was perfect. We were able to play bocce and cornhole, but also just sit in the sunroom to admire the beautiful pond views! The hot tub was a huge hit for my husband, who used it every night! So happy with our stay!!
We had a guys weekend here, and it was just perfect. The lake was serene and glasslike for good chunks of our stay. The house was just the right size for us not feel cramped, but also not feel like there was wasted space. Kathy was awesome and very responsive. I plan to return sometime with the family sometime, will definitely stay here again.

We are happy you had a great time. Would love to have your family come.
We loved our stay at Kathy’s and are looking at dates to return. It was the perfect spot for a casual fall getaway with our daughters. The view is gorgeous and the accommodations comfortable. Kathy was a very responsive host and communicated well and during the trip. Only thing I would suggest to future guests is to bring gallons of water as the kitchen tap came out brown occasionally.

We have a new water system. Still working out the kinks.
We had a wonderful two night stay in this cozy cottage on the pond. Great location with an amazing water view and a great fire pit and outdoor area you're super close to both York and ogunquit for fun! The cottage sleeps 5 comfortably and has all the basics you need. Be aware it IS a cottage and more rustic but the location and outdoor space makes it worth the stay, not too mention the hot tub!!! Take a soak and look up at the stars!
Enjoyed a long fall weekend on the pond. The house was toasty warm with a nice gas fireplace in the living room and a amazing fire pit outside. The kitchen is well stocked to meet our cooking needs and steaming fresh lobsters. The hosts promptly answered our questions. The hot tub was crystal clean and a yummy 120 degrees. Overall a great stay.

best of both worlds
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, ot was nice to be on the pond, yet only minutes from the ocean. Could use a little updating, however, it had everything we needed. Only other thing was the Hot Tub, nice and clean but, could have been a bit warmer. All in all we were satisfied with our stay. Matt and Kathy thank you for sharing your home.

Ants
The property was nice, but was filled with ants! The were all over the place including on beds etc. Also, the hot tub was filthy and needed cleaning. The dock and furniture around the fire was rickety. I would not stay in this cabin again. However, the location was lovely!

You left bench was broken in half. Someone had to have jumped on it. Jaccuzzi was filthy. You can,t bath in Jaccuzzi. There was candy wrappers & food under beds. EverNo wonder you had ants. You never contacted us with a problem. We take pride in our rentals
We have been doing this for 20 years. We are bug free. professional estimator.

The view of the pond is the nicest part. The screen porch was also very nice. The water in the camp is disgusting. It smells like raw sewage. There was only one smoke detector that I could see. The bunk bed room where my 3 year old son would have stayed was unsafe. When you shut the door the bunk bed would just about block you from opening the door. When you drive in it looks like a junk yard. There is a van that has a sign in it stating “owners camping van”. The tires are sunk in the ground. There is also a jeep. I’m guessing it’s a “camping jeep” as well. I see a lot of good reviews for this property which I just can’t understand. Some of the reviews say if you don’t like rustic go to a 5 star hotel. Well I can say this is NOT rustic. The dock is wobbly and seemingly unsafe. There were plastic toys everywhere which seemed great at first. Until we notice many were broken and had sharp plastic edges. Overall this is not a place to have young children. If there was any maintenance done to this property we could not tell. We stayed here for one night out of four nights we were supposed to. My main concerns were the wiring of the “camp” mixed with the lack of fire detectors. Also there is a faint smell of mold. They do not want you taking a bath, which I wouldn’t want to anyway. This property needs a lot of TLC. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. This property IS NOT REFUNDABLE for a REASON!

We have been renting this property for 20 years. We take pride in our super host statis. VRBO policy is to contact owners to resolve issues. THERE WAS NO CONTACT.. 1# 5 smoke detectors..#2 water simple fix. Change filter...# 3 No Problem with electrical. House has new box and has been updated. ..This property is forty thousand square foot lot with a small house. And a 200 ft water frontage on pond with dock.Plasic beach toys in sandbox-volley ball court. Left by little kids. Owner camper van is considered xtra bedroom in Maine. This is not a junk yard. Never mentioned the firepit over looking the sunset on the pond . Or the hot tub under the stars. Or coffee in the morning on the screened porch. This is the most crazy & dramatic review filled with mistruth....
Our stay was cut short to the hurricane at home, but enjoyed a one night in this very quaint Maine cabin!!!

Why they chose this property
This cottage has the best of both worlds. Lake swimming and many activities for the kids. Like boating campfire ,bocce,, basket ball. Volley ball, Jacuzzi, And the other world is 5 min to the Ocean. Children have some much to do they don't want to leave.
What makes this property unique
My favorite thing is the Sunset over the lake. And watching the hummingbirds.
