Property was very clean. The interior smelled great and the beds are SO comfortable. It is walking distance from downtown. Great spot if you plan to visit.
My friends and I felt right at home. My host left clear instructions for us to follow. The beds were so comfortable and we had all we needed. Great value!
Centrally located close to everything. Very clean and comfortable. Christmas decorations in house were very much appreciated. Excellent place to stay for a weekend while in Natchitoches.
The property was nice, clean and well kept. We were within walking distance to the downtown area for the Christmas lights festival. We also utilized Uber so we did not have to worry about rain and parking at the festival. The grocery store is just a few blocks away which was great for us since we love to cook! We will book this place again for our next trip if available.
The house was very cute and clean. They even had a little Christmas tree set up in the living room. Easy access to downtown and Wal-Mart. Was a very pleasant stay!
We had such a wonderful time visiting for the Christmas festival. It was a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The house was super clean, comfortable, and you cannot beat the location. It was so nice to be able to walk everywhere and not worry about trying to find parking. The beds were also very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
This property is very nice! It’s well maintained and very clean. It’s only minutes from historic Natchitoches and very convenient to NSU. We were in town for the cross country state meet and this was definitely better than the available hotels. The owner is very responsive and engaging. I highly recommend this property.
The location and accommodations were perfect for a girls weekend. We walked to downtown for dinner, for shopping, for the farmers market. We could have spent a week more to explore more of Natchitoches, but the vacation had to end. Would 100% recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.
As an experienced traveler I have stayed in many different hotels, resorts and vacation accommodations. This house was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The space was clean and had plenty of towels and washrags which came in handy to freshen up for dinner after a day of touristing in 80 degree weather. It was a little disturbing to find that there were no curtains in the bedrooms and central bathroom after arriving alone after dark. I find joy in the simplest of things, and having coffee on site rather than having to get out at 6am to get it from Starbucks would have been a joy! I think the small touches to make these spaces homey are what sets them apart from hotels. Having said this, I’d stay here again. The host was easy to work with and the check out procedure didn’t require me to spend hours checking off items after paying a cleaning fee. The snacks were a nice touch!
The house was incredibly clean and just a short walk into town for the fireworks. Little things were missing that would have made the stay easier (a kitchen sponge for dishes, a colander, even a little shampoo, hangers in the closets, at least one hook in the master bath for wet towels). Making meals for 6 adults was challenging, but if you aren’t planning on doing a lot of cooking you’ll be fine. Or bring disposable casserole dishes with you (there’s also a Walmart close by). The house sleeps 6 adults, but the living room seats 4 adults, and the kitchen table only 2. All as seen in the photos but I just want to call it to the attention of future travelers. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was safe, the directions were perfect, and communication with the host was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!
Very clean and great location. It worked perfect to get to and from the festival and restaurants. Not too big and not too small. Great for 4 adults with little kids.
Had a fun visit over the weekend after Thanksgiving. The drone and firework show was great! We joined the free tour Sat morning to learn about the history of the town which is fascinatingly. Walking to downtown from the house was like a 10-15 min walk depending on your pace. Wearing comfortable walking shoes would be good. It's basically 4 blocks to get to the river/ lake. Safe feeling neighborhood with amazing huge trees to see on the walk. With kids (9 and 12) it's not a bad walk and plus parking doesn't seem to be great downtown. A must try is the meat pie from Lasyone's Meat Pie. Not a huge restaurant from what I could tell but was great for the car ride home or walking around downtown. They are only open on Sundays after big events downtown so plan accordingly. All of downtown closes down on Sundays it looked like.
Location was great and the property was exactly as described (super clean, and roomy), but nothing more than what is described. Most, if not all, places we stay have coffee (usually pods) and basic kitchen supplies. There was an almost empty shampoo bottle and no body soap. The house sleeps 6 but the dining table only has 2 chairs. You enter through the back door (which I don't think was explained anywhere and was confusing as we checked in at night) and it's unclear if you park on the grass or on the driveway that looks like it belongs to the next-door neighbor. We appreciated lots of towels, blankets and pillows. We also appreciated that the "check out" procedures were reasonable (unlike places with 50 different things you '"must do").
