Hideaway Creek is a true hidden gem nestled on a beautiful working Longhorn ranch, where wide-open skies, grazing cattle, and peaceful country views create a one-of-a-kind retreat. Guests are often delighted by frequent visits from longhorns, deer, and wild turkeys — all visible right from the cabin’s oversized windows.

With soaring ceilings, galvanized metal finishes, and walls of windows, this cabin blends rustic character with comfort, creating a warm, peaceful place to unplug, slow down, and reconnect.

Beautiful and Peacful

Wonderful property and cabin. Very close to all activities New Braunfels has to over while providing a peaceful haven to enjoy and relax at the end of the day. The longhorns on property are absolutely amazing and the home is well appointed and comfortable.

Perfect cabin for a weekend away

This cabin was as adorable as it looks in the listing! When we arrived, we were greeted by the longhorns which my son loved. Throughout the weekend, we saw the longhorns and plenty of deer outside through the large picture windows. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with the necessary kitchenware and cookware. The location was perfect and provided a country feel while being close enough to local attractions.

Upon arrival there was a broken lamp in bottom bedroom. Next day outside we saw broken solar night light. There is an outside chair that had a cracked & pinched my sons leg when sat in it and then gave way & broke. We were extremely disappointed that the hot tub did not heat up, this was the main reason my daughter chose this cabin. Couldn’t use washer or dishwasher due to mold growing in it. Honestly, the cleaning service needs to do a better job.

We take concerns like the broken lamp, outdoor lighting, damaged seating, hot tub not heating, and the cleanliness issues with the washer and dishwasher very seriously. These are all items that should have been addressed prior to your arrival, and we followed up with our cleaning and maintenance teams to correct them immediately after your stay. We also want to gently share that if issues like this arise during a stay, we strongly encourage guests to reach out to the host right away. In many cases, we’re able to send maintenance or cleaners out quickly to resolve problems in real time and improve the remainder of the stay. When concerns are only shared after checkout, it limits our ability to step in and make things right while guests are still on property. That said, your feedback is still very important to us, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We’re taking these concerns seriously and using them to improve both our upkeep standards and communication processes moving forward.

Nice location/things to be aware of

The property was fairly easy to find and to access once we were given the check-in instructions and directions. We did not receive the instructions until two hours prior to the check-in time. We attempted to contact the property owner/manager via phone call, text, and the VRBO message portal from 24 hours prior to check-in up until the time we received it. We did not receive a response from them until we contacted VRBO and the response received was they do not send the instructions until the previous guest has checked out due to safety. While we appreciate that, it would have been helpful to have received that response prior to becoming concerned that we were being ghosted. A few things about the house itself to note - the bathroom and kitchen are basically an enclosed deck that are open to the dirt underneath, and the boards and the rooms are very susceptible to the outside temperature. There is no counter space in the bathroom. A second toilet/bathroom would be nice, considering it is a large building. Since it does not have central heat/air, each room has it's own remote controlled portable air conditioners, heaters, and fans. It can make it difficult to sleep at night if you are a light sleeper, as the air conditioners turn on and off. Cleanliness is somewhat lacking, but have noticed that this is on trend for the last several years of VRBO properties. The cleaners left their used rags. The hot tub had quite a bit of debris in it.

Perfect Hill Country Getaway

We had an amazing stay! Will definitely be back next time we are in town. Everything was so cute, clean and fun! We were visited by Wild Turkeys in the mornings, Longhorns morning and early evening and deer at dusk. We even saw some Jack rabbits. The kids LOVED it. It’s a perfect location and an easy trip to get to all the fun restaurants and shopping.

Cute cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed this cute little cabin. There were six of us and we had plenty of room even though we had to share one bathroom. It’s in a perfect location for privacy. The hot tub was amazing. The manager handled a small issue almost immediately. I would highly recommend staying here

We really enjoyed this cabin! The cows were amazing to wake up to. We also really liked the outdoor feel in the kitchen and bathroom, the little touches were really thought out! Next time I’m in New Braunfels I will be staying here again!

Weekend Stay in New Braunfels

We had a perfect little getaway this weekend. Sea world was so fun!!! This cabin was a drive from sea world, but we wanted to be able to see New Braunfels and Green during our time in San Antonio. This cabin was a perfect location for someone wanting to see New Braunfels and San Antonio. It's such a nice cabin, with the perfect Texas feel, plus you are greeted by their Long horns in the morning, which the kids loved. In the evenings we enjoyed the BBQ and Hot Tub! Thanks we hope to return soon.....its not too far from Houston!

Very Relaxing!

We stopped in New Braunfels during a last minute road trip and found this cabin! It made our trip. We enjoyed watching the longhorns through a huge window, it was the perfect spot to drink your coffee. We enjoyed the peace and quit and private hot tub! The kitchen and bathroom were very neat! It made you feel outdoors but with the luxury of indoors! We will be back!
