Storybook Cottage in a Dream Location - Private Pool, Near Siesta & More

Rent my one-bedroom, one-bath completely furnished historic guest cottage and feel instantly at home. Enjoy waking up to the sounds of tropical birds. Read the Sunday paper over a cup of coffee or tea in the sunny private courtyard. Take a morning walk down to the water and watch the fish jump.

The 750 square foot cottage is perfect for the single traveler or snowbird couple. There are no steep stairs to climb or elevators to take. Park your car(s) in the private guest drive.

This is a completely non-smoking property. Smoking inside or out is NOT allowed.

Well-behaved pets are generally welcome with advance permission.


Lots of things available for use: beach chairs, beach umbrella, gas grill, charcoal grill, pool floats, lawn furniture, beach towels, coolers. If there's something special you need, just ask your neighbor (Me!) and I'll see what I can do.

I'm in the customer service / dream vacation business, so I've tried to think of all the little things that will make you want to come back to stay year after year after year.

Wonderful cottage!

Cozy darling cottage very close to many waterfront restaurants & to beautiful Siesta Key & Venice Beaches. Jane, the owner is very kind & helpful. There is a private pool as well. I highly recommend a stay here!

It was an amazing experience! Jane was extremely helpful and wonderful! The pool is perfect and Jane thought of everything to make the cottage feel like home. The yard was also gorgeous. It was nice to always have a canopy to park the car under for shade.

This is a lovely cottage, the owner thought of everything! You also have your very own pool. Very private location and the Eagles were a plus we got watch them everyday from the top of very tall Pine Tree on the property.

Loved it!

Jane was super reliable when it comes to communicating and was willing to help us with anything we may have needed during our stay! The house was the perfect size for my boyfriend, our 2 dogs and I with a cute little backyard for the dogs to hang out and we really liked the separate driveway, it made packing/ unpacking really convenient and nice not to disturb her as the front door was just steps away. We will definitely be booking with her again when we come back as our overall stay was a 10/10 :)

Cute Hideaway for a Couple

Private apartment in a very convenient yet private location. Unit was very well equipped- tons of towels and even enough toilet paper for our 8 day stay! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning and the fans kept the whole apartment very comfortable.

We have stayed twice at the Storybook Cottage and had wonderful trips each time. Jane is very kind and goes out of her way to make sure the cottage is well stocked, clean, and ready for visitors. She is responsive to messages and could not be a better host. The cottage is adorable and has everything you could want for your stay. It is in a great location for visits to Sarasota, Venice, Siesta Key, Manasota, and many other places on the central gulf coast. We hope to have the pleasure of returning soon, the cottage and this area is one of our favorite places to visit!

This cottage did not disappoint! I loved how dog friendly it was. Jane was wonderful and the communication was great! The dogs were spoiled with the treats she left for them!

Storybook Cottage Vacation

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was private, clean and the swimming pool was wonderful. Jane was a great hostess. I stayed here with my dog and we went to the local dog park and wandered down the street to the park/river at the end of the street. Everyone I ran into was very friendly. It was a great, relaxing vacation.

Winter get away

Jane’s house was perfect for us. The location is quiet yet just a short distance to shopping restaurants and beaches. The house was spotless and Jane had many extra touches that made our stay so wonderful. The bed is very comfy the kitchen has everything you need. There is 2 TVs and the internet worked really well. The pool is great! Jane is an excellent host . This is a 10 out of 10 place.

Jane's cottage was just as described. She met us on arrival and gave us an overview of the rental and area. She was readily available if assistance was needed. The cottage was well equipped from the kitchen to the gear for the beach. It was the perfect location to visit Gulf Beaches and access to a variety of stores/businesses. We enjoyed our stay!

Jane, was an excellent host. Just as everyone described. Just wished we could have met her & enjoyed our stay.Unfortunately we had a death in the family & had to cut our trip short & return home. A very nice place for two people.

Private location situated off the street. Spent a lot of time in the pool. The cottage is something to see. The construction is old Florida, not the cookie cutter crap you see in the beach communities. The location is near everything including beaches.Fran.
