This was a great apartment in the middle of town. The dirve for pakring was handy and it was a short drive to the beach, the Arcata Marsh, and the Arcata redwood forest. Would rent this again if we get back to CA.
I highly recommend this property. Safe area, easy to access, great host. This is my second stay in Arcata, and I will try to book here for future visits.
What a great find. Let's do bullet points!- Conveniently located near downtown- Has its own driveway (and that is huge, especially in the rain!)- Immaculate (no exaggeration)- Dog welcoming (not just dog tolerant)- Super comfy bed- Nicely equipped kitchen- Quick response from the hostWill definitely stay there again if I need a place when I come back to the town I love!
Have stayed before and always is clean, neat, and comfortable. No complaints. Mary is a very responsive and helpful Host. Will definitely be going back again.
Great location & cozy comfy place. Great views & surprisingly quiet. It’s a huge perk that you have a small driveway to park your vehicle. Would rent again .
A cozy, clean and well appointed place. Conveniently located close to the University and downtown. You can walk everywhere and it has its own parking. Don't miss The Kitchen Arcata (open Wed and Fri nights) and live music at the Oak Deli and Brewery. Take a walk through the bird sanctuary and wind up at the Redwood Curtain Brewery, where there's a great food truck and possibly live music. If you want to hear some vinyl spinning and sample a panoply of beers, head to the Dead Reckoning Tavern. This is a great cottage in a great town.
We've stayed in some nice places over the years, but this is one of our favorites. Roomy, comfortable, and decorated with great taste. It's very convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, and great hikes. You'll love it here.
This place was perfectly central to all the activities we enjoyed (avenue of the giants, Eureka, Fern Canyon, etc). Kitchen was stocked with cookware essentials. Clean and cozy but the couch and mattress wasn’t very comfortable to our liking. Plenty of extra towels and toilet paper was provided by host. Laundry was easily accessible but was only allowed between 8am-3pm for guests. Not very convenient for travelers adventuring out and about for the days activities. Host did provide some laundry detergent. Curtains or blinds could be added to the kitchen area/back door area for privacy. And a cushion would have been nice to sit on the back patio during morning coffee or evening relaxation. Parking spot was very convenient and host provided helpful area recommendations. Would definitely stay here again :)
This guest cottage is the perfect size for a couple or solo traveler. A nicely-appointed kitchen makes meal preparation easy. It's within easy walking distance of downtown Arcata. Recommended!
Great spot near the plaza for a single traveler or two. The hosts were accommodating and quick to respond, and the spot was clean, comfortable and quiet.
This cottage was cute and cozy and such a convenient walk into everything in Arcata. I would happily stay here again. The little patio and front yard area are really nice touches. This was a great cozy getaway with my family.
Loved this cozy spot for a long-weekend visit. We've rented more than a dozen spots in Arcata over the last decade, and would not hesitate rebooking here.
The place was very cozy and close to everything. Walkable to an excellent ramen restaurant and grocery store. Short drive to the redwoods community park. Perfect stay for a weekend getaway in Arcata!
