The condo was exactly what my wife and I needed. Super clean and stocked nicely with the necessities. Short walk to the parking lot shuttle that runs super regularly. Would stay here again for sure.
Overall we were quite happy. Good proximity to resort transportation. Would have preferred to have a ski locker on the ground floor. You need to have your cleaning staff clean the drier lint filter and empty the water reservoir. Not too many people are familiar with that type of drier.
Electronic Lock information provided in EMAIL did aquatily describe the DOOR UNLOCK process. Door Lock code had had to be reset before new code would unlock. Called number on Door and Spokesman just I should just have to put in code and turn handle. Numerous attempts did not work. Tech came over to show me. Would have been nice to know that before hand.
Nicely furnished small, clean and quiet studio with all new appliances. Most neighbors in the complex seem to be living or working there, so it has a more residential than touristy feel.
It is lacking a bit as a ski condo, since there is no place to store skis, and the ski shuttle is a five minute walk uphill.
The only heat comes from an electric fireplace in the living room and the floor heating of the bathroom. We had to call maintenance who brought us two space heaters, otherwise a sub-zero night would not have been bearable. At least they responded quickly and were able to help out.
You better have a car when staying here, since the closest restaurants are a 15 minute walk to the Mountain Village base, Uber or taxis don’t exist and there is a bus to town at most once an hour.
Overall, nice place and an enjoyable stay with a few downsides that are not all to blame on the property.
Stayed here 3 nights for our first trip to Big Sky. Condo is small, but thoughtfully laid out with every amenity you would need. We utilized the washer/dryer, dishwasher, and oven, all very nice and well sized. We did manage to set off the smoke detector with the toaster oven, so I’m not sure that if use that again. I wish there would have been instructions on how to use the electric fireplace/heater, and another hook in the bathroom for wet towels, but these are minor things. I will say that the HOA could be better at snow removal on the stairs and landings. Outside our door was a solid sheet of ice a couple inches thick. Maybe some de-icer inside the unit would be helpful. But again, minor things that did not diminish our stay. Would definitely recommend to others and stay there again.
One last thing. A car was parked in what looked like a parking space at the top of the stairway to Chamoix. The space/area is not marked as a walkway or a no parking zone, and if there are yellow lines on the asphalt, they are not visible due to snow. Someone wrote a harsh and obscenity-laden note on a piece of cardboard and put it on the car. It was inappropriate at best. If this was in fact a no parking zone, there should be adequate signage saying so, otherwise there was no way to tell. We almost parked in that spot ourselves, but found a better place for our van.

Jennifer,
We are glad you enjoyed your stay in Big Sky! We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to bring these issues to the attention of the HOA.
Additionally we will mention to the homeowner the need for things such as towels hooks etc.
Come back to Big Sky soon!
