PLEASE NOTE: If you're booking between June and August, guests may only check-in and check-out on Fridays. Due to an issue on VRBO's end, our calendar may allow you to book on other days. If that happens, you will be asked to cancel your booking. And what a bummer! We want you to stay with us. :)

Kick back and relax in our little slice of heaven, just moments away from East Beach. Tucked inside the shade of the enchanting Maritime Forest, our cottage is the perfect getaway for families and beach lovers needing to let loose, breath deep and have fun! Catch a cool ocean breeze from one of our two comfy screened in porches -- perfect for a peaceful cup of coffee, great conversation or family board game. Get anywhere on the island quickly in one of our 4-person golf carts. Two come with your stay.

Because quality time is the best part of BHI, we equipped our cottage with lots of extras. Two 4-person golf carts, streaming services on a 55” smart TV, TVs in most bedrooms, gas grill, highchair, cribs, games, kid toys and sand toys, beach chairs, fishings rods, boogie boards, sun shades, and more. Use our bikes too! We have two adult bikes (one with a kid seat on the back) and one kid bike (ideal for a 7-10 year old).

There are two bedrooms in the main house and one over the detached garage. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. A perfect set up for a group of friends, two small families or one big family.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and more - Burkee water filter, toaster oven, air fryer, Instapot pressure cooker and slow cooker, Cuisinart ice cream maker, and quality kitchen knives.

All bedrooms come with Dom sound machines. Both guest rooms have a TV with streaming services or DVD player and lots of DVDs.

Guests have the option to purchase a guest pass to the BHI Club or Shoals Club, which has many wonderful amenities, including golf, pools, playgrounds, and restaurants. It's a must for a family beach vacation!

From June to Labor Day, our typical check-In/check-out days are on Friday. If you have questions, feel free to message us.

October Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our stay greatly. The house is very well appointed and comfortable. The location is fantastic and a short walk to east beach. We brought our GSP and she adored being able to run on the beach. Thank you and we hope to visit again soon.

Something for everyone with plenty of space to sprawl with large bedrooms all with TVs, when traveling with kids. Kitchen has everything needed including spices and lots of extras. Very comfy and well appointed.

Wonderful time and great location! The only thing that presented as a problem was the upstairs air conditioning. It wasn’t fabulous. It didn’t always cool off the ceiling fans did help.

Loved our stay in the tree house! Great location and the house was perfect. Only reason for four star review is that we had a ton of issues with golf carts. Had to get them replaced twice. Joe was helpful but was still frustrating at times and a bit time consuming. Overall I would recommend this property!

Great Anniversary Get Away!

We stayed for just 3 nights, but it was well worth it! Great home in Surfman's Walk, well-appointed with comfortable furniture throughout! Clean, nicely decorated and it felt like home! We loved the 2 porches, coffee in the morning on the front, glass of wine in the evening on the back. An added plus is the nice walking trail that runs around the back of all the houses in the neighborhood! Absolutely loved it and had a great time! Highly recommend it for couples or large groups since it has plenty of beds.
