This old farm church has a rural feel to it yet it is convenient to Hyde Park attractions. Glenn, the owner, is very communicative and helpful. The Culinary Institute with its wonderful restaurants and the FDR home and Library are just a few miles down the country highway nearby. The same for Eleanor’s Val-Kil and the Vanderbilt Mansion. My favorite place was a few miles north in Rhinebeck What a great village! Historic and full of taverns and shops. Inside the church, there is a bedroom downstairs and one upstairs in the loft area. The small bathroom is downstairs with a step in shower. Pets are welcomed! We had a nice stay.
We just loved staying in the “old church” at the farm. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The host was so responsive and the place was perfectly located for our visit to historic Hyde Park. We would definitely stay here again.
Quiet spot out of the city but not too far from Hudson Valley sites. Large vaulted space, fresh eggs from the hen house next door, sky full of stars at night. Great host!
We stayed here for several days while visiting National Parks in the area, and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in the church, and it was cute and mountain cabin-like in feel. Glen left fresh eggs and milk for us and they were delicious, and we loved seeing the hens in the yard. Would stay here again! We really liked it.
Staying in this 19th-century former church was very special, and its location was perfect for visiting historical sites and Hudson Valey's small towns. Our host was very welcoming and provided great info about interesting local spots.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in "The Church"! It is a beautiful piece of history. Glen was wonderful! We are already looking forward to our next visit!
A fascinating old church that has been converted into a guest house, with a super considerate host. Only one bedroom has privacy, but it's a fun place to stay and close to everything!
We came up from Brooklyn to see the hot air balloons with my parents and it was just what we needed.
Our Host Glen is very gracious and helpful! We loved staying at the Farm. The church and the grounds are beautiful.
Glen provided us with fresh eggs, milk and honey. We were also allowed to pick tomatoes from his garden. All very delicious.
The host Glenn goes out of his way to do everything to ensure that you have an excellent stay. The building is stunning and well worth a stay. I would strongly recommend this to all travelers!
My teen daughters and I had a wonderful stay. The property is absolutely charming, a true Hudson Valley gem. Neighboring towns, hiking trails, farms are a perfect getaway place and reprieve from NYC bustle.
The cricket and frog chirps at dusk an absolute bonus :)
We loved the unique, lofty space! The church was charming and had everything we needed--including some local treats like fresh eggs (from chickens on the property), honey, and maple syrup. We enjoyed hiking around Hyde Park and spent a nice evening in Rhinebeck.
