About this space
Tucked away behind a row of pine trees lies this charming two-bedroom home with a separate yoga studio. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway while still having access to all the wonders of the Hudson Valley. Steps from Warren Street on Hudson, Olana, and numerous local parks. Near three ski resorts, Tivoli Performing Arts, Redhook, Fine dining in Rhinebeck, and much more. Sit on the porch and enjoy the views of the Catskill Mountains and majestic sunsets.
The space
A quaint home that was built in the 1800s and then moved to this quiet spot in Germantown surrounded by orchards. Some of the original wood floorings are still intact. There is a bedroom downstairs with a full-sized bed and separate entrance, an open kitchen, half bath, and a propane stove that doubles as a fireplace to keep the whole house toasty. There is also a great desk area perfect for those working from home. Upstairs there is a grand loft bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, comfy day bed, and ensuite bathroom. Sit outside on the Adirondack chairs or one of the swings. There is even a renovated barn that currently doubles as a yoga studio or work room

About the host
Your host
I am a world traveler, teacher, and writer. I have lived in many places, and The Hudson Valley is one of my favorites.
Why they chose this property
This is the perfect respite from city life. The house is private yet close to everything. You can sit back and relax by the fireplace, write, do yoga in the yoga room, or see some of the local sites. We are about 5 minutes from Olana, the home of Frederick Church. where you can hike all year round or paint as well. The house itself is charming, with some of the original floorings from the 1800s with just enough modern updates to allow for a comfortable stay. You can take the Amtrack to Hudson and the house is just a 10-minute drive. Enjoy concerts at Bard, restaurants in Rhinebeck, and local farms and markets all close by.
What makes this property unique
