A Charming and Private Cottage in the historic downtown of Hermann, Missouri.

This is a charming historic 1860's cottage in the heart of Missouri Wine Country. Nestled in the green foliage & trees, right on the creek. Wildlife and nature abound. It’s one of a kind.

The Ivy Cottage is a magical & eclectic private getaway for partners, two friends, or extended stay for remote work, writing, reading. Take a mental health break away from the hustle & bustle of your busy life. Our cottage is walking distance from downtown Hermann restaurants/bars/ live music. Hermann has a vast selection of biking/walking trails, wine, coffee, food, and vintage shops. This is our home away from home, we live here half of the year.

***Please keep in mind all three house rules prior to booking, as they are strictly enforced. 1.) This is a NON-SMOKING property. Absolutely no smoking or vaping on the property, in the cottage, or on the decks. A violation of this will be an additional $500 damage cleaning fee, and an immediate cancellation of your reservation. 2.) This is a two person property, per the permit through the city of Hermann. There is no more than two people allowed at the cottage and on this property at all times. If additional guests show up, you and your guest will be asked to leave. 3.) No pets. I am immunocompromised and this is my family home. Thank you in advance for respecting these three rules.

Highlights include:

• Double-decker deck placing you directly in nature. Newly added screened in porch on bottom deck.
• Fire pit for roasting marshmallows or enjoying a glass of wine under the stars.
• Full kitchen with everything you need to cook your favorite meals.
• Primary bedroom with a king-size bed and private bathroom.
• Loft area with a sofa and plenty of space to relax, read, or listen to music.
• Laundry facilities on-site w/ laundry soap provided.

For security purpose ONLY, there are 5 EXTERNAL Ring Flood Light Cameras on the property. Driveway, Lower Deck, Upper Deck, Rear Entry and Side of the Home. Rear Entry and Upper Deck cameras can be turned on and off for privacy. Directions are provided in the House Binder located in the Kitchen.

Ivy Cottage is a peaceful, comfortable retreat in a tranquil wooded area within walking/biking distance of downtown Hermann. We walked into town to enjoy many of the local restaurants that were recommended by our host. The cabin is spotlessly clean with lots of character. The host is very attentive and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. We used the Ivy Cottage as a homebase after bicycling on the katy trail. It was a pleasure to come back to such an inviting, nurturing place.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Cottage! The location is perfect: close to downtown Hermann, yet tucked away enough to offer the privacy and peacefulness we enjoy. The owner has truly thought of everything you might need, from well-stocked bathroom amenities to a fully equipped kitchen.Our favorite moments were spent relaxing on the deck each morning and unwinding by the fire pit in the evenings.The owner went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special, surprising us with a thoughtful basket of wine and treats. Her kindness and generosity meant so much to us. My wife and I stayed at this cottage to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved the cottage. It is perfectly decorated with amenities you don’t get at a typical Inn. It has everything you need, close walk to everything, and the host is incredibly welcoming! We will definitely be back!

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

The cottage is so cute and very well stocked. Alexandria went above and beyond to personalize our stay, and we were very impressed with all the extras available in the house for guests to use. The location feels remote but is right on the edge of town. We enjoyed live music from Oktoberfest right from the deck. Highly recommended this cottage and will definitely stay here if we visit Hermann again!

The cottage is very homey and comfortable. Anything you could need is ready and available. The property owners were accommodating and easy to communicate with. Great location. Off the beaten path yet still quite a bit within walking distance. We would love to stay again on our next trip to Herman.

We absolutely loved our weekend away at Ivy Cottage. It was quiet, private, well appointed and the owners were fantastic. It was only a couple of blocks from the main streets in hermann so we were able to wAlk to all the action but also enjoy the peace and quiet of the home. They had a list of great food and drink options which were also on point!!! Thank you for an amazing stay amd we loom forward to visiting again in the future!

My wife and I have visited Hermann once before and stayed at a BNB. This location though is amazing! The creek out back as well as the wooded lot is beautiful. The decor is way m and inviting and the owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable! Between the Chobani creamers and the unbelievable robes we couldn’t have been happier! Our stay at The Ivy Cottage was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Tucked away in a peaceful, scenic setting, this charming cottage exceeded all our expectations. Wonderful place

My wife and I rented the cottage for a fall weekend and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is great and secluded while being close to Hermann's amenities. Hermann is a neat town with lots of history and a variety of things to do. The property manager was excellent to deal with and very thoughtful during our stay. We plan to come back in the future. This cottage in Hermann was just what we were looking for. The property was clean, well stocked and accurately represented. We had a relaxing time and the property owners were easy to work with. There was a lot going on in Hermann the weekend we stayed and we enjoyed the festivities. The cottage is quiet and the decks are great for evenings and morning alike. Lovely, Charming Cottage!

My husband and I fell in love with the Ivy Cottage that we stayed in for our 52nd. wedding anniversary!! The hostess had given very caring attention to every detail there to make our stay very welcoming, pleasant, and memorable!! The gift basket with wines that we like was a special touch and delightful surprise!! Our whole stay there also meant a lot to us because it would be our last trip for some time because my husband would be starting cancer treatment afterwards in just a week. My husband & I rented this for the weekend as a bday present for his sister, and we’re so happy we did! This fairytale cottage is beautiful. You can tell the owners love this place by all the small details and finishes throughout. Fantastic Weekend Getaway!

Saw the Ivy Cottage listed in Hermann and it looked perfect for the two of us. Much bigger than I expected and loved the idea of a bathroom on each floor. It was decorated so charming and a good location to all the action so I booked it immediately. Didn’t look at anything else. Booking was easy, texting with Alexandria was easy and she got back to me quickly. She had everything we needed plus more! When we arrived, the Ivy Cottage looked exactly as it did in the pictures. Everything was perfect and easily accessible. Alexandria even called me the day before we left to go to Herman to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. I recommend this adorable Ivy Cottage treehouse by the creek. You will enjoy your stay!

Simply amazing

We have stayed at the Ivy Cottage twice this year. After the first visit I found it difficult to express just how charming the cottage really is. Now it's even more difficult because the cottage is even more spectacular. The hosts have an incredible eye for detail. Everywhere you look there's a treasure to be discovered. From the art on the walls to the games and even art supplies there is something new around every corner. I fell in love with the covered patio on the first visit and arrived this time to find it fully screened in. It was an absolute joy to start the evening on the patio and finish the day around the fire pit. We enjoy visiting Hermann but, honestly, we come for the Ivy Cottage. We can't wait to come back again.
