Had an issue with sheets that weren’t clean - owner responded immediately to take care of the problem and was so kind and shared a little history of the very unique cabin. Kids loved sleeping in the loft. Kitchen was well equipped and great for a big breakfast.Minimal traffic on the road - we felt very secluded and peaceful enjoyed our stay.
Our family get away was a huge success, we enjoyed our stay here very much. We had 12 people and were comfortable. Had a few spotty issues with wifi, teens were definitely taxing the system. Beautiful setting, no issues getting there. Would stay here again.
We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this property. The owner was very responsive to messages before and during our stay, which made everything easy from start to finish. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived, and the kitchen was stocked with all the amenities we needed to prepare meals. The beds were very comfortable, so everyone slept well after long days of exploring. One of our favorite features was the large yard, which was perfect for playing games and spending time together. We also found ourselves gathering on the front porch every evening—it quickly became our favorite hangout spot. The location is another big plus. It’s close to all the attractions in Loudonville while still providing a relaxing place to unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily book this property again.
The cabin was perfect! It was welcoming, well furnished and had all the necessary items for our stay. The house also sits on a beautiful piece of property.
I understood what I was renting. It is a renovated 1830s cabin. Floors will be uneven and such. It is part of the charm. But the lack of sufficient cleaning and upkeep was apparent. Hole in bathroom door. Ceiling boards in kitchen fell, others missing for a while. Light fixtures full of bugs. Old and new cobwebs everywhere. Window sills covered in dead bugs. Water smelt of sulfur. (Yes...it is on a well, but renters should be made aware of smell and lack of decent potability) Location was great. Right near wedding venue. Communication with host was great, but nothing was done about issues except he offered to refund (but this would have stranded us 10 hours from home with no place to stay for our son's wedding week). No blender. And nice front loading washer and dryer in advertisement have been replaced.
The house itself was fantastic! Loved the old wood and rustic atmosphere. The disc golf in the yard was a bonus! The six of us enjoyed running around in the snow trying desperately to hit the mark! It was a perfect few days away spending time with our adult children and their spouses.
Property was clean and very nice. Very cool home and loved the character of it. Owner checked in to ensure everything was as expected. Would recommend this place to others.
We really enjoyed the cabin! It was close to activities, river tubing on the Mohican River, Mohican Adventures, Ugly Bunny Winery, Landoll’s Castle, and grocery. The cabin was secluded and peaceful. We had everything we needed.
