This property is awesome. Very convenient to all the great local hot spots. House is exactly as described in the listing. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit next time.
Close to event. Nice neighbors. Everything we needed was provided . Loved staying in such a nice historic home.I would recommend this for your next visit to Jacksonville Texas.
This charming craftsman was perfect for our stay in Jacksonville. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, and great living room and dining room. The kitchen was well apportioned and the air conditioning was nice and cold just what you need for our hot Texas summers!!!!!
We've stayed here with a couple of friends for a few days. The house was clean, in good condition and had everything we needed. The neighbourhood is safe and shops and restaurants are close. So thumps up from us. We would love to stay there again. :)
Thabks for having us.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful place to call home. We were so impressed with the property, we booked it for our next trip within 10 minutes of our arrival. We are looking forward to returning to this property.
This home is warm and cozy, beautifully restored and has all the modern conveniences. It's in the heart of Jacksonville close to everything. The neighborhood is well kept and quiet. The host Lauren communicated quickly with any questions we had. We will choose this spot when we visit family in Jacksonville.
In town for a wedding and preferred to stay in a VRBO vs hotel. This charming home was near the event so that was a nice surprise. While it was only my husband and me, we loved that we had tons of room including a comfy den for watching college football. Three bedrooms weren't needed for us, but since my hubby forgot his earplugs, he took advantage of a 2nd bedroom when I started snoring:)
The only negative of our stay was figuring out the ROKU TV. We spent way too much time trying to simply watch ABC! Finally logged into our Direct TV home account after signing up for Sling (only to cancel that plan once we got home). Maybe some instructions would be helpful. IDK.
Conveniently located, clean and comfy, updated "vintage" home.
The original doorknob hardware reminded me of being in my grandparents home. The hardwood floors add to the vintage feel as well as the clean feel of the house. Loved the large remodeled shower. There are a few steps required to get in the house.
The house is old but refurbished well. All supplies in kitchen are furnished, but cooking pots & pans need to be replaced. Many spices along window sill above stove and some in cabinet. Drawers are sticky, careful not to pull all the way out or everything will fall to the floor on one. Some condiments were left in fridge which we did not use. Full jug water dispenser on stand is a nice touch! Kitchen door leads to enclosed back porch with full size washer and dryer. Fenced Back yard has table with a couple of wicker chairs and a wicker sofa. Good size for kids or pets to play in! Rugs over original hardwood floors. House needs leveling somewhat because slight balance issues are notable. Window coverings kept sunlight out in back bedrooms and front living room. Drapes are over shades- good for light sleepers! Front bedroom had broken mini blinds and thin drapes. Mattresses were comfortable, the queen was a bit too soft for adults but would probably be fine for kids. Bathroom well stocked, large shower has high window, covered on bottom half. It could use a handicapped rail or at least shower mat for safety. Electrical outlets were sparse and some hard to reach behind furniture. Neighborhood is a few blocks from main street through town, near all shops, Walmart, grocery store, ChikFilay, etc. So convenient! Overall, we had a nice visit with family and home cooked meals. Thank you Lauren for your cheerful messages and promptness in answering questions!
Super cute cozy home located in walking distance to Starbucks and other convenient places. Host is friendly, communicates quickly and has number available should you have any questions. Only about 5 min drive to Lake Jacksonville. Loved the front porch and character of the house throughout.
