NEWLY RENOVATED Houseboat Located in Venice Marina (B Dock)

Newly renovated, family-owned houseboat located in Venice, LA at the Venice Marina. We are local to the area and have spent the last 30+ years fishing in this area and are excited to provide quality lodging to fishermen and hunters alike. Our houseboat is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, 500 lb ice machine, fish cleaning station, TV, Wi-Fi, and more. Our back dock is perfect for grabbing a beverage and enjoying the sights and sounds of the Venice Marina. Inshore fishing, offshore fishing, and duck hunting guides can pick you up from the back porch or you can dock your own boat. We are happy to recommend several inshore/offshore charter companies - just let us know and we'll be happy to send you their contact information!

The property was as promised. However, sad part was at the dishwasher did not work, water pressure was extremely low and the grill was old and pretty nasty. Otherwise , it was a great stay and very nice and enjoyable.

I am sorry about the grill, it is actuall relativly new, however it is difficult to keep the grill clean if the guest don't lend a hand and clean the grill after they use it. I too was down there last week and had to clean the grill before I could use it. As for the dishwasher you were the first to mention that it did not work. We are working on replacing it as we speak. We very much enjoyed our stay. The camp laid out well with the open concept which was great for cooking and hanging out. Beds were nice etc, nice dock. The camp does not come with some things we have seen from other houseboats such kitchen ware, paper towels, bathroom soap etc, and the dock area was cluttered with old cookware.

Thanks for the review Tim. There is cookware in the houseboat normally unless someone stole it as I was there a month ago and there was 3-4 frying pans, 3 pots and 3 baking pans as well as other kitchen ware such as a toaster, keurig, coffee pot, utensils, etc. We provide two rolls of paper towels per stay normally so I apologize if there was none there. As far as the old cookware on the dock, I’m not sure where that came from as there was only a barbecue pit and fish fryer out there when I was last there. Glad you enjoyed your stay and we’d be glad to address these issues in advance if you were to return. Thanks. Joe

I have been fishing in Venice LA for over 30 years. My partners and I are avid fisherman and hunters (aka "Hunter Gatherers") and have fished or hunted all over the US as well as Canada, Mexico, and the Grand Caymans and there is no place better than Venice, LA!

Why they chose this property

This property is located in a prime spot in the Venice Marina and has been completely renovated and decorated by outdoorsman for outdoorsman. We like to stay in nice places when we travel so we want to make sure this is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) rentals in Venice.

What makes this property unique

Not many houseboats in Venice Marina have Wi-Fi, but this one does as we understand that while you might be here for pleasure, the grind doesn’t always stop. There is also a wine cooler for those of us who enjoy a nice glass of wine in the evening after a long day of fishing or hunting.
