Book Retreat Success

We absolutely loved our stay here and did not want to leave on Tuesday. Our favorite places were the kitchen island, the chairs around the fire pit, and the fireplace under the TV. Would totally book here again!

Clean Well Equipped home

Spacious & Beautiful

The house is spacious and decorated like it belongs in the Coastal Living magazine. The linens were high-end and the beds were comfortable. The sunsets were beautiful. Communication with the owners were spot on. Definitely would stay here again! And we totally recommend it!

Bassmasters Elite Trip

We stayed Feb. 20-22 with my husband, father in law, and 2 boys (ages 10 and 12). The house had more than enough space. It was close to town and very clean. The host was very responsive and checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything.

Family vacation

We loved our stay at the Riverside House. The house was very clean. Everyone slept comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with anything you need for cooking. My kids had so much fun fishing and casting nets off the pier. It is also in a great location for visiting natural springs, beaches, St. Augustine, and bioluminescent kayaking tours.

Beautiful Remodel on a Great Location

Wonderful location on the river, very clean and comfortable. Close to the cute town of Palatka. Hosts were attentive and responsive. There is a sulfur smell in showers and faucets so we brought our own bottled water for drinking, which was fine. The sunroom was one of the favorite rooms along with the kitchen. Loved the dock and fire pit so we sat out late each night sharing stories. Overall a very nice place to stay.

We live on a small off-grid homestead just outside of Asheville, NC. One of our favorite spots to visit has always been St. Augustine, and we won/host multiple properties in the area. Adding our Aunt's and Uncle's St. John River retreat home to our offerings has been so exciting. For several months in late Summer 2022, the newly acquired property was transformed completely from top to bottom. The new layout and upgrades represent the perfect mix of comfort and modernity.

Back at home on the mountain, Maria is a kindergarten teacher, and Butch is a tech entrepreneur. We have two daughters who enjoy school, traveling, and meeting new people. We are so happy to have an excuse to visit the St. Augustine area many many times a year combining our work and play.

What makes this property unique

A fully modernized interior makes going outside a struggle, but once you venture out - the river view will coax you out toward the dock - you'll fall in love with the comfy riverfront yard and expansive dock.
