About this property

Enjoy the amazing creek and beautiful scenery at Stream Song

This is a beautiful, Non-Smoking home, situated on a creek with a waterfall right outside the door. The lot is wooded and sits at about 4200 feet elevation. It feels very private yet is only five minutes from the main road.

Sleeps 8 - 3 bedrooms w/queen beds, 1 twin bed off the living room and 1 sleep sofa

There is a covered porch overlooking the creek. There is Wi-Fi and satellite television, there isn't a cozier place.

You'll be only ten minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about ten minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes, you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so.

You are 2/10ths of a mile off the paved road (the driveway is paved to the home). You are 10-15 minutes to the Ski Cataloochee.

But if you are like us, you won't want to leave the home! Everyone falls in love with the place. There isn't a greater get-away than the Great Smoky Mountains, and this is the perfect spot to enjoy them!

4x4 is required during the wintertime, if it snows. The home is located 4200 feet up the mountain on a hard packed gravel road (always check the weather).

Pets Considered with Prior Approval - DOGS (35-40 lbs and limit 2)
Need to know the type/size of pet, if up to date on shots, housebroken
CATS Considered too

NO SMOKING!

Motorcycles are possible. You are 2/10s of a mile off the paved road and the driveway is paved with plenty of parking for trailers/trucks. the 2/10's is a very hard packed gravel/dirt road.

Great for family gatherings
This house was awesome for family gatherings with two large dining tables and multiple couches and places to gather. The appliances are old, some of the knobs on the range are set to the wrong setting. Plan on figuring it out before planning to use the oven in particular!

The creek was wonderful. Home was close to town. Enjoyed the little shops. We went tubing in town. Rode the parkway stopped for hiking. Mingo falls was beautiful. Will definitely go back.

Great staging area for GSMNP
The communication with the owners was always very quick. The home is larger than i imagined, or needed for just us two, which is a pkus for groups. There are windows everywhere with great views of nature. I enjoyed the creek where i would have my coffeee. Wifi was strong and reliable. Very private feel, even though there are other houses around, you don't notice them, so I felt like i was in a secluded setting. The driveway is steep but in excellent condition and never gave our vehicle any issues. We drove an SUV and only used two wheel drive. Cars should easily handle the driveway unless there is snow or ice. We made day trips to Bryson City, Waynesville, Gatlinburg as well as many options much closer than that. Sunrise and sunset views at Waterrock overlook were 15 minutes from the cabin which we appreciated.

Retreat
I liked the location. It had a good veiw of the trees/ mountains. The creek and small waterfall was by far the best feature. The house could use some TLC but I will definitely go back.

Sweet
The house was very sweet. The outside could use some TLC. The house was very clean but it had a musty smell. It’s an older home but very comfortable. Love the Creek. Thanks
