Thanks so much! I'm glad you had a relaxing stay and that your granddaughter enjoyed the hikes and beaches. Sounds like a special trip—you're welcome back anytime.
The cabin was a great base for our time in Ucluelet and Tofino. Communication with the owner was excellent - he patiently answered all the questions we had! The cabin is just outside the main town area, providing a peaceful environment, but still within a short walk to trails, beaches and town (although we typically drove to town!). As a family of five with children aged from 11 to 17, we fit in easily, making use of the sofa bed. We didn't feel the need to use the hot tub, but it was nice to have the option. We would definitely consider staying there again.
We had a great vacation! The owners were great with communication. Beds are comfy, nice, quiet neighborhood

Beautiful house had all we needed! Modern kitchen and bathroom, easy to find location, big sunny bedrooms and ample privacy. The hot tub was a great bonus!

Thanks so much for staying! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the property and location.
Clean, modern and comfortable. Some minor technical issues with access and dishwasher. Located in a cluster of cottages close to Wild Pacific Trail. Contact with owner was very good.
The space was nice and cozy, the host was quick to respond to any concerns. The listing states it sleeps 6, but I felt that it was a bit cramped with 4 adults and an infant. The dishwasher unfortunately was not working for the entire stay. Hot tub was a nice touch, but a bit on the smaller side for 4 adults to fit comfortably. Great place to stay if you're a small family or couple.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! Glad you enjoyed the space, found our team responsive, and got to enjoy the hot tub. We appreciate the notes on the space and dishwasher — we’ll make sure that’s addressed. You’re always welcome back for another stay.
Our family had a fantastic time enjoying the West Coast from this amazing base in Ucluelet. It was quiet and off the main road but still close (walking or biking distance!) to three amazing beaches and trail head for the West Coast Trail. Perfect location and just the right fit for our family of 5!

The Perch is a lovely property in an ideal Ucluelet location. It was clean and well set up. The hot tub on the deck is surrounded by trees with a view of the water - quite beautiful and serene.

Thank you for the lovely review! I’m glad you enjoyed The Perch and its beautiful, serene setting. It’s great to hear that the property was clean, well set up, and that you loved the hot tub with its peaceful views. I’d be happy to host you again.
Place came exact as advertised. Had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay and visit all the area has to offer. We had a 2 year old and it was a nice and quiet area for mid day naps. The views from the balcony are beautiful and steps from little beach. Ucluelet is also nice and quiet and away from the bustle of Tofino which is only a short drive away. We will definitely come again and also stay with the host at this location

Thanks for staying! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the quiet, views, and nearby beaches. We would love to host you again in the future.
The condo was perfect for our visit - more space than we needed for just a couple, but the feel and vibe was spot on for a relaxing time in the Ucluelet and Tofino area. Really close to hiking trails, and the area is beautiful. Condo was so cozy and clean, and was well stocked with all that we needed. Connor was amazing to deal with, and accommodating of our change of plans, and was super responsive. A hottub wasn't on our "must haves" but was a nice touch to jump into in the evening! Would come back here to stay in a heartbeat.

Thank you for staying! I’m so happy the condo was a perfect fit for your trip and that you enjoyed the cozy vibe, great location, and hot tub. It was a pleasure hosting you, and I’m glad I could accommodate your plans. Would love to welcome you back anytime.
The house is lovely - views and location are spectacular. Ucluelet is quiet and relaxing; the walks and beaches are beautiful.
The house is brilliantly positioned to get the most from the area.
Most mod cons are in place - but the house needs a folder with explanations on how to use some of the settings for the oven/drier/dishwasher/cable TV/washing machine.
We had a short delay getting into the house with the locking system in the door - probably best to give a heads up on the exact timing of the releases etc (though that have been me having a senior moment!)
I'd recommend people to stay here and would love to return with the family at a later date

Disappointing Experience
This was our first stay at The Perch while traveling on Vancouver Island with our family (booked as 4 adults + 2 children). Great location, walkable to Wild Pacific Trail, Little Beach, and restaurants in Ucluelet. Highly recommend stopping in for your morning coffee at Foggy Bean Coffee Company.
Despite the listing photos that make this home seem spacious, be aware that this is a 2-bedroom "tiny" home. The appliances were high-end; however the drawer dishwasher did not function; we advised host Connor at the time with no resolution during our stay. Handwashing dishes for 6 people was a vacation chore not anticipated.
Enjoyed the modern bathroom with heated floor, good water pressure and nice lighting; however, no extra towels for 6 people (and we paid extra person fees). The slow shower drain has the potential for overflow (maintenance issue)
The Perch listing is marketed as accommodation for up to 6 people. Again, we paid base rate + extra person fees yet kitchen linen and dish inventory did not meet minimum expectations (For example, there were only 3 coffee mugs)
Overall unit amenities were disappointing when booking a VRBO branded home...for example only 1 small television hung in the corner of living room and the seating didn't allow for viewing without moving the furniture. Seating was inadequate for family gatherings. Very minimal furnishings throughout the home including the bedrooms where we lived out of our suitcases for three nights.
Enjoyed Ucluelet!
My adventures have brought me to hike the Juan De Fuca trail, hitchhike throughout Western Canada and Northern Europe, and climb two mountains in one day.
I love nature, travel, and adventure.
