Salishan Tree House Suite exceeded all our expectations! Our kind and welcoming hosts created a magical retreat where we escaped from the frenzy of the modern world and were soothed with comfort, fine esthetic, and natural beauty. Sweeping views of the bay even afforded us a glimpse of a sea lion with a huge salmon clamped in its jaws. Remarkable! We felt honoured to experience this stunning place.

Great property a few miles from Duncan. Lots of room with beautiful views. We went to Victoria, Tofino and Kinsol Trestle during our stay here, and they were pretty convenient trips. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely apartment. The view is great. We found several things that just didn’t work. That was frustrating. The motorized shades didn’t work, the fan over the cooktop didn’t work. The wine cooler not plugged in. The cooking equipment is marginal at best. If you want to do any serious cooking the equipment is sub standard. Please disclose there is NO freezer. That is an issue for most guests.

This property is a stunning and relaxing sanctuary. And, oh, the light and the views make for a memorable stay. It's just remote enough to make you feel you've escaped, but within a short drive to everything you need. A special place.

Beautiful property with gorgeous views. Stunning artwork throughout, and comfortable chairs/beds. The bathroom was great - nice shower, double sinks in the vanity, and a toilet with a door to separate it from the rest of the bathroom. We loved the beautiful ceiling fan in the living area, and appreciated the tower fan for use in the front bedroom. Having a balcony off both the living area and the front bedroom was a real bonus. A few things to be aware of - not criticisms - just things you might want to know. There is no microwave and no freezer. The fridge is a two drawer, under counter arrangement so don't bring tall things to put in there and don't bring too much as fridge space is limited for longer stays. The final bit of the road to the property is a bit narrow, but not a problem if you are careful and courteous to other drivers. Overall, just lovely.

I really enjoyed my stay here but we had a few issues. It was a long journey from Seattle to Canada and I went with my pregnant wife. When we arrived, the door code did not work. I had to message the host and after 2 more codes we finally were able to access the property. The first night while my wife was showering the shower head exploded and landed on her head. She was totally fine and there was a shower hose we were able to use but that was a bummer. The host was very apologetic and professional about the ordeal and made sure my wife was okay. The second night the EV charger turned off which was a bummer as we had our EV on this trip. Additionally the WiFi stoped working on our last night as well. Other than that we did enjoy our stay it just seemed a bit expensive for what we got. Thank you for having us!The view was incredible though!

Not very often you book a stay that is exactly as advertised. When we walked in we were instantly hit with how beautiful it was, just like the pictures showed. It was very clean, had lots of kitchen amenities, comfy beds, binoculars, books to read, bird and wildlife watching, and beautiful art. Owners are welcoming. It is situated away from everything, but close enough to stores in case you forgot something. We stayed over Christmas and there was a beautiful lit up wreath in the unit which was very much enjoyed.

Treehouse Suite Overlooking Cowichan Bay

I cannot say enough about how lovely this stay was. I wish I was still sitting in front of the large windows overlooking the water reading in one of the recliner chairs. Every detail of this place is stunning from the art to the landscaping. Owners made it super easy to check in and were very communicative. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

The property was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen was well equiped. The receptacle in the kitchen where the coffee maker was is worn out (loose) so the coffeemaker would not stay running. Could not get the tv's to work. Called Vrbo and discussed this issue. The gentleman suggested a couple of things that might work which we had already tried. He said he would send someone to help but that did not happen. This is a beautiful place and we enjoyed the view. I would suggest that the owner stay here for a night so as to see that a few things need to be repaired.

Treehouse is a unique property that is well-maintained and comfortable. Easy access, privacy and a short drive to great restaurants and hiking trails. Everything you need is provided. A journey well worth it.

Stunning house and beautiful location. You’re overlooking the bay - breathtaking sunsets / sunrises. Sitting on a balcony overlooking the water. Abundance of birds surround the property. Highly recommend this property. Within a ten minute ride of restaurants.

One of my all Time Favourites

I would have loved to move in to this cosy, stylish place with the enchanting view. It had beautiful decor, amenities and an excellent location for all of our desired Cowichan activities. Nice quiet, romantic spot. would definitely return!
