Great place to get away with some friends and have a nice stay. Place was very clean and spacious with a variety of dining options nearby. Host was very communicative and helpful. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Loved the property very clean, spacious. The back and front yard were amazing and we got lucky to even appreciate wildlife like deers. It was amazing and can’t wait to book another stay.
This house was amazing. The host was easy to get in contact with..
definitely will stay again in the future.
Love the love, the private this of this house
Such an amazing experience. Property manager was very easy to communicate with and gave very detailed instructions to locate the house, as it was a little confusing at first. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was supplied as well for guests. Overall amazing place to stay if in the area.
We were so happy when we entered this house after our long day at the NJ Spartan Trifecta! The kitchen was perfect, and we felt very safe in the area. Thomas was very helpful in sending clear check in instructions! Highly recommend!!
My family and I had a little trouble finding the house but other than that, the stay was perfect. We all stayed comfortably and enjoyed the fire pit outside.
This house was good for the family reunion for a wedding, it was clean and as expected, there were a few small things that we noted with the owner that would have kicked it up to great, but for the price point and size it was great for us. good week would stay there again
We had an amazing stay here. We were 8 adults and 3 children and the house was perfect. Plenty of space, huge yard where we were able to play and multiple decks where we were able to relax and BBQ for my sons birthday! My family also enjoyed the pool table very much. We also went to Lake Hopatcong Adventure Co. for a guided kayak tour which was so much fun. Proximity to the lake (Lake Hopatcong State Park) was perfect, the only negative was that they did not have lifeguards monday and tuesday; therefore, the beach was closed for swimming.
Overall, this house is great and highly recommended.
It was truly a worthwhile experience. Tom was great and the most helpful when it came to booking and making sure everything worked out. When arriving, you may miss the entrance at first due to how easily one can look right over it, but that adds to the experience. Tom’s place was as described, with an ideal amount of parking and how spacious the area and yard is. The house itself was fantastic and a lovely open area for all the guests to enjoy and be around each other in. Had a great time and felt very welcomed with how clean the place was when we arrived. If you’re looking for a great location to host a larger sized group, you can’t get much better than this. Would highly recommend to all.
The property was beautiful and the location was great. It was a short distance from a lot of stores but also in its own area. The only negative was the heat situation— the thermostats weren’t working. We contacted the owner and he informed us to change all of the thermostats individually to our desired temperature so that the house could warm evenly. However, after trying multiple times the temperature of the house wouldn’t rise so we were freezing throughout our whole stay. It was such a shame that we couldn’t fully enjoy the house because of how cold it was. As for the check in process, it was easy to get inside however the cleaning lady was still there when we arrived and didn’t leave until an hour after we checked in.
First when we arrived, we were greeted by several insects right when you opened the door. There were ants and centipedes around the house and it likely needs sprayed for insects. They were on the floor, walls, bathroom, in the lights, etc. mainly on the first floor. The floor was very clearly not vacuumed and the living room carpet looked like the floor of a frat house.
The door to the laundry room was initially closed and when we opened it the room was very hot and steamy. We pulled the dryer out and the vent was not attached on either end, which posed a risk. We were able to reattach the vent to the dryer and to the floor so there could be proper ventilation, but it is in some need of dire attention. When we moved the dryer forward there was also a pile of belongings. Old towels, a tennis ball, a vape pen, and miscellaneous garbage, etc. all of which had been cleaned up by us during our stay.
In addition to the above listed, all of the folded towels were damp (likely due to the non functioning dryer) and there were still towels in the washer that were drenched. When we removed the towels from the washer to wring them out and then dry them, there was a puddle of water in the washer indicating that the washer was not draining properly either.
The bedding was also not washed and when sheets were pulled back there was glitter, crumbs, and even bodily fluids on the sheets. Yes, bodily fluids… Clean bedding is an essential aspect of any accommodation, and we were disappointed
