2 Bedroom one Bath Cottage on Sanibel Island that is completely updated, walk to beach in a quaint 8 unit complex with a nice pool. We have a great screened in porch. 42 inch flatscreen TV, DVD, wireless internet, fully equipped kitchen. In unit Washer and Dryer. Queen size beds in bedrooms. You can rent bikes nearby at Billies Bikes or other vendors that have both pickup and delivery options. Walk or Bike to Beach, Grocery, local restaurants. Ding Darling Bird Reservation covers large portion of Sanibel. Go shelling, bird/wildlife watching, kayaking, take dolphin cruise, or go on numerous fishing ocean adventures. We recently completely renovated and refurnished the entire unit.

Easy check-in and wonderful amenities like beach towels, chairs, and even nice cotton blankets in the closet for cool evenings. Quick and scenic walk to the beach with restaurants really close, too.

Adorable cottage

This cottage was delightful. Beautifully appointed, perfect for two friends or two couples with 2 delightful bedrooms. The screened porch was so nice to sit in for any meal or a cup of tea.

Lovely rental

We loved this little beach cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately it rained all week while we were there, but we still enjoyed ourselve immensely. You could tell it was recently renovated and was well done. It had everything you needed and is situated in a nice area. Would definitely stay again!

The whole place was so clean and neatly organized, especially in the kitchen, I thought for sure we were the first renters. But we weren’t. It was an ideal location in a quiet neighborhood.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay in Sanibel

The property was as described in the online listing. The only two issues we had: We couldn’t figure out how to turn off the ceiling fan in the living room (it was always on at high speed)There was a sulfur odor in the neighborhood at times, which we found out from neighbors that is a thing in Sanibel. Nothing to do with the property itself.

Nice place, communication needs improvement

Appartement ist sehr gut ausgestattet, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und neuwertig. Lage ist gut, Strände, Restaurants und Supermarkt in Fahrradentfernung, trotzdem ruhig und grün, von der Kläranlage in der Nachbarschaft bekommt man nichts mit. Bemängeln würden wir nur, dass die zwei, in der Ausschreibung genannten Räder fehlen. Auf entsprechende Nachfragen hat der Vermieter Kurt nicht reagiert. Die Vor-Ort-Organisation wusste davon nichts, in der amerikanischen Beschreibung sind sie wohl nicht enthalten. Sie empfahlen uns, zum bike rental zu gehen und mit dem Vermieter über einen entsprechenden Refund zu verhandeln. Das haben wir nicht getan. Weil er ja schon auf unsere freundliche Nachfrage nicht reagiert hat, gingen wir nicht von einem Erfolg eines solchen Versuchs aus. Vielleicht ist die deutsche Ausschreibung nicht aktualisiert, wie auch immer, einfach nicht zu reagieren, fanden wir sehr unprofessionell. Bei der Vor-Ort-Agentur hatten wir auch noch beanstandet, dass der Van im Wohnzimmer nicht auszuschalten war. Dies führte dazu, dass man nicht wirklich auf dem Sofa sitzen wollte, weil es dort zu kalt war. Sie wollten sich darum kümmern, wir haben aber im Laufe der 8 Tage nichts mehr von ihnen gehört. Bis auf diese beiden Punkte haben wir unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und würden das App. auch wieder buchen. (es ist aber zum Verkauf ausgeschrieben, weshalb diese Bewertung evtl. auch hinfällig ist :)

Fantastic Sanibel home!

Kurt’s place was the perfect location for my fiancé and I to stay for a week in Sanibel! It is less than 10 mins to walk to the beach access on Donax St via the bike paths, the rental had ample beach and bath towels and chairs to use, the screened in porch was lovely for morning coffee, and the rental was a short drive or walk to many restaurants and shops on the island. The unit itself has many beautiful updates since the listing photos we saw, and a smart TV so we could connect to our streaming services/accounts. Kurt responded to any pressing questions efficiently via VRBO messaging. We had such a comfortable, relaxing stay and would absolutely come back to Kurt’s place!

Wonderful

Everything was absolutely perfect though the bathroom lavatory faucet leaked, the kitchen faucet wasn't secure to the counter and the pullout sprayer didn't work correctly and television only had a couple of channels that I actually watched due to some being locked out. I'm a plumber so the faucets wasn't a big deal to me.

Not what we expected.

Due to lack of communication, we had to contact host multiple times to get the entry code. There was no information at the house other than old menus. We were told that the beach was two blocks away. It turned out that the beach was over a half mile away. One of the bicycles, which were highlighted in the listing, had a blown tire. When we contacted the host, he told us to just rent one with no offer to reimburse.

Our Stay in Sanibel VRBO

We absolutely had the best time staying at this VRBO. It was very clean, spacious, and fully equipped except for personal toiletries. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch for eating our meals. The road in front of the property wasn’t heavily traveled, so it was quiet. We would love to go back some day.
