About this property
Cozy Farmhouse in Mountains w/ hot tub & firepit
Take it easy at this charming and cozy 1916 farmhouse. Private 40-acre farm with stunning 360 views of North Cascade mountain peaks, just 2 hours north of Seattle.
Steelhead fishing, bird watching, kayaking, and hiking world-class trails in the North Cascades, with trailheads at Rockport State park mere minutes from the farm.
This historic farmhouse has been restored to its full vintage charm, with a fireplace, original hardware, gorgeous built-ins, and the modern amenities of heat, air-conditioning, a dishwasher, and a hot tub.
This charming farmhouse is perfect for two to six adults with two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a queen sofa bed in the living room. There`s a trundle twin XL bed in the second bedroom with plenty of room in the summer months for tents in the backyard (or the cooler months for the hardcore adventurer and outdoorsmen).
The covered back deck or gazebo is the perfect spot to drink coffee and watch the herd of Scottish Highlander cattle in the field. Enjoy the firepit in the evening, there`s nothing but a wide open sky above it for full viewing of gorgeous sunsets and star gazing.
After a day of enjoying the mountain scenery and forests, relax in the hot tub. Then enjoy the electric fireplace with plenty of extra throw blankets and pillows for the ultimate cozy evening.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room that sits 6, and on the covered gazebo a propane BBQ and pellet smoker. Perfect to prepare the catch of the day.
During the season, you can request farm-fresh chicken or duck eggs (don`t worry, we don`t keep a rooster on the farm so no early crowing to disrupt your peaceful slumber).
In summer there is an herb and vegetable garden you can stroll through and a basket is provided for a small daily harvest.
The farm is located on a charming country road with fields, tree-lined sections, a slough, and river access, all within an easy stroll. Don`t be surprised if you see the beaver in the slough, bald eagles soaring above, and both deer and elk in the fields.
During your stay, you`ll have the yard and farmhouse to yourself (there is an option to reserve an RV spot in the driveway with water and power for extra guests, this is not rented out separately, so you`ll be the only guest on the farm). This is a working farm with cattle in the field, so you`ll see us feeding during the winter (and our welcome to help if you`d like) and occasionally working on fences or the barns in the other fields.
Because we have cattle and chickens on the property, we have a firm no-pet policy.
There is room in the driveway for snowmobile and boat trailers. We`re only 30 minutes from Newhalem, Ross Lake, Shannon Lake, and 40 minutes from Baker Lake.
You`ll have the full yard and house to yourself. The other 39 acres house our adorable Scottish Highlander cattle. You`ll see us there feeding them in the winter months (and welcome to help if you`d like to experience it) and occasionally fixing fences and working in the barns.
Country neighborhood, quite road, perfect for strolls and meandering walks
Spacious driveway, plenty of room for snowmobile or boat trailers

Great communication. Very clean and super cute decor. Loved the flannel sheets and the new retro microwave. We enjoyed feeding the cows too. Definitely would stay longer next time.
This is a welcoming, beautiful and relaxing stay! The farmhouse is so cute and cozy and was just perfect for our weekend away from the kids. Soaking in the hot tub in the evenings was the highlight of our stay. It was so peaceful with the snow on the mountains and listening to the cows as the fog rolled in. We took a day to drive up to Diablo Lake and take in all of the waterfalls, snowy mountains, some light hiking and the gorgeous river. The host was friendly and super helpful when we locked ourselves out. Adding this to our "will stay here again" list.
We loved everything about our stay. The property is very nice with all the correct amenities and the Scottish Highland cows are adorable. We will be back.
We had the best time at the lovely farmhouse and enjoyed every minute of it! Every little detail was perfect and we loved to sit out in the garden and watch the highland cows as the sun sets. We were so sad to leave and hope to be back some day.
We had such a peaceful stay! The place was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The cows were an unexpected treat — so fun to watch and made the whole experience even more special. Would definitely come back!
Farmhouse located in a valley with mountain views. Beds were comfortable. Good location near route 20 for easy access to cascades. We really enjoyed sitting out back watching the sun set. The granddaughter loved feeding apples to the highland cows.
We had a wonderful time at the house. Very close to the National Park and plenty of activities. The house was clean and had plenty of amenities and many “homey” touches. We would highly recommend this property.
This house was perfectly situated near everything we wanted to do while in the North Cascade Mountains. The property was gorgeous and the farm was fun to see.
We loved this farm house and surrounding property. Convenient to North Cascades and nearby town. Beautiful and peaceful. Chatting with the cattle was a bonus!
Quiet farm house, well appointed with outdoor hotub
Farmstay had a lot to offer with grazing cattle just outside the door and a Hottub and fire pit! This secluded farmhouse was easily accessible to North Cascade National Park and surrounding national forest. Easily accommodated two couple and would work for a family as well.
This was a great home and close to Cascades National Park. Nice, clean and quiet. The cows were fun to watch. We got to witness a calf being born! The hot tub was geat after a long day hiking! Definitely recommend.
We loved the property, very charming home away from home. The hot tub was amazing after hiking all day, it was a great location for exploring the south side of Mt Baker and west side of North Cascades. It was relaxing to stay in to cook breakfast, walk around the flower and veg gardens and offer carrots to the highland cattle. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again!
My family loved staying at this property. We fed cattle and even meet a baby calf! We played frisbee on the spectacular lawn, enjoyed the sunsets from the hot tub, and thought the entire stay was spectacular. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Spent the weekend with friends hiking and exploring North Cascades National Park. Our stay was wonderful and all we hoped it to be. The property was very clean, cozy, and supplied everything we needed. The guide book provided for our stay was very organized and had helpful information in case we had any questions. The hot tub, fireplace, and friendly backyard cows were some of our highlights! We would recommend this property to anyone and we hope to stay again soon,
We absolutely loved everything about this property! If you are looking for a quiet but beautiful space to spend the weekend, this property is perfect! They have thought about every detail- from the hot tub, to the blankets, fully stocked kitchen to the outdoor furniture with an incredible view of the mountains. Cannot recommend this cute and updated farmhouse enough!!!
We loved our stay here! Everything was immaculate and it brought a sense of nostalgia seeing all of the decor of old farmhouse tools and kitchen items. Being in close proximity to the cattle was such a treat! Super family friendly with loads of games and books to use. We stayed here in order to enjoy some time in Cascades and we plan on returning! Even the kids are asking to go back!
Absolutely amazing property. Perfect location nestled between the mountains, within 15 minutes of some good food (check out the burger place and pizza place in Concrete!). The home was very clean and spacious. Really appreciated the great homesteading reading material, old pictures of what the property used to look like...and THE COWS! They are the absolute sweetest. There is not one thing that we would change. Perfection.
